This guide is intended to show you all the important differences between vanilla Survival compared to MC-Centrals Survival Server in an effort to help ease your transition from Singleplayer or even from another Survival server. It is NOT intended to teach you how to play vanilla survival. To learn how to do that go here.
Survival is one of the sub-servers that Mc-Central offers to its users. The server is based on 1.8.9 Vanilla Minecraft "Survival" mode. However, it has been modified to fit in as a multiplayer experience- from PvP to trading. There is no specific goal on the Survival server, it depends on the individual's personal goals: building fantastic homes, having the most items, being a well-supplied PvPer, and many more all up to you to decide.

All locations in survival, known as warps, are essentially locations that players can teleport to with each individual warp having its own purpose. To access all the possible warps use the command /warp. Below lists all the possible warps that can be visited.
Plot World: The plot world is where you build, store your items, farm, and much more. Each plot consists of 51x51 buildable area for each player and makes up the majority of this location. Plots are grief protected so that only players you allow building access to will be allowed to modify the plot. To view all the possible commands to use at your plot vist this thread here. Some other things to note about the plot world are: Lava and Flint and Steel can only be used on the Plot World, there is a 25 Minecart/boat limit per plot, anyone can use boats/minecarts on other players plots, 500 Item Frame/Painting limit per plot, 150 spawner limit per plot, TNT only destroys/harms entities at plot world, and Wither can not be spawned in the Plot World.

Resource Worlds: There are 3 types of resource worlds. The overworld, the Nether and the End. You can visit these locations with the /warp resources GUI or /warp fb to visit the overworld, /warp Nether to visit the Nether and /warp End to visit the End. These are the locations where you collect your resources from which are used at the plot world. Upon visiting these locations you will be inside a mini spawn located in the center of the resource world where you can not break or place blocks. Only hostile mobs can be attacked in this area while they can not attack you which makes this a reliable safe spot in the resource worlds. The Resource Worlds are reset every 24 hours at 3:30 am MST to allow players to always have the availability of desired resources and is also why you should never build here. The Overworld is 10,000x10,000 in dimension and randomly changes seeds every 2 weeks (14 days) with an available countdown until the next seed change located at the holograms inside the mini spawn of the Overworld. The nether is 2500x2500 in dimension. The Nether and the End do not change seeds but do reset daily. It is also good to note that mobs can not travel from one dimension to another, including the plot world. Spawners are also not generated into the worlds.

PvP Arena: The PvP arena is the primary dedicated place where players can fight one another. The PvP here is special as you can use the items you’ve crafted in order to defeat your opponents. PvP is enabled here therefore you will lose items upon death so be carefull. There is also a combat timer of 10 seconds which means if another player hits you, you must wait 10 seconds before being able to leave the arena as well as being able to use most commands. There is also a cooldown on ender pearls of 10 seconds before you can use them again. Using an ender pearl will also put you in a combat tag to prevent being used to escape fights. A loot timer also exists which means the person who killed someone is the only player who can pick up their loot for 10 whole seconds. Ranks obtain $1,000 per kill while Rookies obtain $500 per kill (i’ll explain economy later on). Killing the same person within 1 minute will not give any money in order to prevent account grinding. To go to the Pvp Arena simply type /warp pvp.

Spawn: Spawn is the first place you are sent to when you join the server or respawn. It is used as a central hub which allows you to access other destinations including the main lobby. To visit the spawn simply type /spawn. The Spawn is located in the center of the plot world with all the plots surrounding it. Turning around will point you in the direction of the portal back to the main lobby but also shows a hologram showing how much time left until the daily restart. Spawn also shows a Treasure Chest, 4 NPC’s, a donor wall, and much more which shall be explained later on.

Other Warps: Other warps that I will go into later is the Treasure Chest, Donator Ranks, Tutorial, Richest Players, The Shop, Boss World, and Auctioneer.

MCC Survival plots uses an economy plugin. To view how to make money and how much profit each method makes, read this guide here. The economy plugin allows for many cool features that makes an economy plugin on a Survival Server very useful. Open the drop down list below to view important plugins that benefit from the existence of the economy plugin.
The Shop: The Shop is a virtual location accessible with /shop that allows you to sell the items you obtain to the server with /sell. The only items you can buy from The Shop are Sell Wands and Spawners which I will talk more about later on.

ChestShops: ChestShops are player made stores that allow players to buy or sell items. You can control the quantity you sell, the price of the item and whether if you want players selling to you or buying from you or even both at once. You can learn how to build a chest shop here. Some other things to note about chestshops is the sign must be within 16 blocks of the chest, does not apply to y-axis. You can also use /iteminfo while holding an item to find its Item ID that you will place on line 4 of the chest shop sign. ChestShops can only be built on plots. Note that players must confirm a purchase of $50,000 or more to prevent large scams within a confirmation GUI.

Auction House: The Auction House is a virtual location accessible with /ah that allows players to purchase and sell items for a desired price set by the seller. Items will last up to 24 hours before being automatically taken down, if not sold. Once taken down they will go to your collection bin and will remain there for up to 2 weeks before being destroyed. Note that damaged items can not be sold on the auction house therefore must be repaired first.

These are additional activities added to Survival that help make the gameplay more enjoyable.
Quests: Quests are daily, weekly, and monthly tasks focused on the gameplay that can be completed for rewards. These quests can range from simple tasks like mining, crafting, enchanting, and much more. Quests reward players with money for completing these types of tasks. To access quests use the command /c. Quests also have a leaderboard showing the top 10 ranking players for quest points.

Boss Event: The Boss Event is an event giving you the opportunity in defeating a unique boss. These bosses take on the appearance of mobs like zombies but are adjusted to have special abilities. Each event has a different type of boss which means each event will have its own unique challenges. Each event also has smaller sized mobs known as minions that can take on the appearance of baby zombies depending on which boss event is active. The goal of minions are to try to kill you just like the main boss, although killing the minions will not give any benefits. The top 5 players who deal the most damage to the main boss will be rewarded handsomely. The top player to deal the most damage will be rewarded a Boss Key (I’ll explain what this is later on), 2nd-5th place will be rewarded money with 2nd getting $4,000, 3rd getting $3,000, 4th getting $2,000 and 5th getting $1,000. This event takes place once every 8 hours and a countdown until the next event is viewable with /boss. Note that players all spawn in with the same type of gear and if killed will be able to respawn with the same gear within 10 seconds. If another player kills you, they will be given a splash potion of Strength to help deal more damage to the boss.

Chest Envoys: Chest Envoys are events that randomly spawn in 5 chests containing random rewards in the pvp arena every 4 hours. It is a game of speed and luck as only the players who are first to claim the chest by right clicking it are the one who obtain the rewards. Possible rewards you can obtain are: 32 Hoppers, Diamond Helmet (Protection 4), Diamond Chestplate (Prot 4), Diamond leggings (Prot 4), Diamond boots (prot 4), 256 EXP Bottles, Diamond Sword (Sharpness 4), God Apple x5, $10,000, $20,000, $30,000, Random Spawner, Sell Wand, 64 Iron, 64 Diamonds, 64 Emeralds. You can view when the next chest envoy will occur with /envoy. Note that PvP is still enabled during this event.

Bounties: Bounties allow players to put a desired amount of money on one another as an incentive for others to kill specific players. Once killed the bounty hunter will receive the amount of money that was placed on the marked player. You can access the bounty commands with /bounty. Note that once a player has a bounty of $50,000 or more particles will surround them showing their bounty worth without the need of having to check with commands. Note that only players who are online will show up on the bounty page.

Coin Flips: Coin Flips are contests between two players where each player is either heads or tails with the goal of the coin flipping on your desired face. Each player has an equal chance of winning and the winner is rewarded the losers initial bet that was placed when accepting a coin flip. The player making the coinflip can choose either heads or tails and the amount they wish to coinflip from $1,000-$100,000. Coinflips also show your statistics for amount of games won/lost, amount earned/lost and total profit. There’s also a leaderboard for the biggest winners from coinflips. The coin flip menu can be accessed with /cf.

Duels: Duels allow players to 1v1 each other in a private arena. There are 13 types of dules to choose from and each one gives each player the same gear so that the fights are truly skilled based. Before joining a duel players can place in items into a chest like compartment where who ever wins the fight will obtain those items. Players can duel one another with /duel.

These are additional features added to Survival that help make the gameplay more enjoyable and safer.
Trade: Trade allows players to safely trade items with one another without the fear of being scammed. Use /trade username, wait for the other player to confirm the trade, place in the desired items, and lastly click the glass pane to begin the 10 second countdown. Note that you must be within 10 blocks of the player you wish to trade with in order to use the command.

Lockette: Lockette is a feature that allows players to lock chests so that only you and the players you specify are allowed to have access to specific containers. To make a Lockette place a sign on a desired container such as a chest. You can add up to two more players per Lockette sign to have access to the locked item using /lock.

Spawners: Players are able to obtain spawners via /shop, Treasure Chest, and from Envoys. Mobs from spawners stack, average spawning interval is every 30 seconds, AI is removed from mobs spawned via spawners, and spawners are active as long as the chunk they are in is loaded. Spawners also do not need to be placed on their corresponding environment block to work, for instance, pig spawner will still work if not surrounded by grass, hostile mob spawners still spawn in light level of 7+, etc. There is also a 150 spawner limit per plot.

Bank Notes: Bank Notes are pieces of paper that allow players to physically store their balance on. You can create one using /withdraw with a minimum value of $100 and a max of $1,000,000. These are great if you wish to store your money in a chest, give them to other players or simply hide your true balance from others.

TPA System: Players are able to teleport to others using this feature. To teleport to another player use /tpa. To teleport a player to you use /tpahere. The TPA System has safety features in place to avoid its misuse. Players can not send or accept tp requests in the pvp arena. Players accepting teleport requests will be teleported to the ground instead of to their y-coordinate location to avoid being killed by fall damage. Players accepting tp requests above lava will be sent to the side of the lava instead of on top of it.

[Item]: This allows players to display any item they have in their hand in chat. If a player is displaying an item in chat it will list its name in the color blue in chat. If a player displays an item with enchantments, players can hover over the blue text in chat to view the enchantments the item has. Items that are renamed will appear in chat with the renamed name instead. To display an item in chat hold the item in your hand and type [item].

Ground Item Clear: In order to prevent lag MCC removes most entities every 7 minutes and 40 seconds. Players are given a 20 second and 1 minute warning beforehand in chat. Players can view when the next ground item clear is with /cl. Entities that are not cleared from ground item clear are: Item frames, Paintings, Horses, Fishing rod bobbers, Snowman, and the Wither Boss.

Everyone starts out as the Rookie Rank although there are 9 Donator Ranks to choose from which are: Coal Rank, Iron Rank, Gold Rank, Lapis Rank, Emerald Rank, Diamond Rank, Bedrock Rank, Legend Rank, and Immortal Rank. MCC allows players to donate to the server which can be done by going here. In doing so players will receive these ranks which can be purchased directly here. MCC Survival offers many additional items that help make the gameplay much more enjoyable without affecting the original vanilla experience in a negative way. Below is a list of them.
Perks: Perks are abilities that can be obtained from the Treasure Chest. Unlocked perks are kept throughout every season which means that if you get some in one season, you will have it in every other season! There are 8 types of perks to choose from where each one can be viewed with /perk which also shows if you have a specific perk locked or unlocked. Perks take on the appearance of a piece of paper. These papers can be given to other players which is great if you have extras. Any rank, including rookies, may unlock the abilities of perks. Players can not stack perks. For example, using more than one 20 set home perk paper per account will still only give you 20 sethomes at max (same applies to all perks).
