Hey guys! Nice and simple thread here :P On forums, all staff have a rank under their names on the profile and whenever they create / reply to a thread so It would be pretty cool if donator players could have something similar to this but instead of a staff role, a donator role. For example, I am immortal in game so under my name it would display 'Immortal'. Of course staff roles still need to stand out so the colour of the names would stay the same. I've seen this come up so many times, xerme's post firey ghast's post elecctricc's post astro's post just to name a few... my overall opinion on this is that it would be really nice to see, however it should be done in a way that it does not take away from the staff tag. I think it should be a little circle or something different, to prevent players getting confused and thinking someone is a staff member. the only issue I have with it is that it's kind of a waste of time. there's not much point to it except for 'looking cool'. most people put their ranks in their forum signature anyway, so its kind of pointless. however, I still personally think they'd look nice. still kind of on the fence for this one. -nik

Honestly pointless imo. Also means they would need to add a way to link MC accounts to the forums, since there's no way they're ever going to be able to keep up with manually assigning donator tags to every single forums user. A green username like on the discord would be more than enough, a rank would just be excessive. And if it's anything like the new staff rank tags, just no. Those things are fucking hideous LOL
The best you can do on your own is to just put a screenshot of your rank on your signature.Kinda like what @Ankh and @boomrabbits_ did
like nikki mentioned, this has been brought up on multiple occasions.. i think that would be horrible. i’ve seen other servers do it, let them be them. this is mcc majority of players are ranked and the new forums has been out for over a year now it would seem a little silly to implement it now since if it’s something that isn’t automatic then not every ranked player on forums (a/ a linked account) would get it. there’s other factors like i personally think it’d look like a horrible rainbow type shit with all the colors and tags. This new forums had similar thing when it first was released and had staff’s sub teams on there. I think part of the reason was that their tags took up a lot of space, esp if they in 5 subs or sometbing and say one message like “thread locked” (kinda hard to describe/explain lol). anywyas, the other threads have lots of valid points of why it shouldn’t be added that i agree with. and take it into perspective that there’s been so many threads about this, but no action taken. likely cause it just ain’t gon get added.... i do not think this is a good idea and wouldn’t bring any benefit or extra helpful kinda information to mcc. like, in forums staff makes sense, but donator doesn’t. if someone wants to let people know they’re a donator, they can put it in their forums info box, in their signature, banners, walls, etc. being a donator gives you perks, but it doesn’t give your extra rights. gn
