The time has come once again for our Prison server to start a brand new chapter. This season is focussed on adding as much new content as possible to keep the game feeling modern and fresh! This changelog will detail all changes big and small for our upcoming reset which will be dropping this upcoming Friday 17th January 3pm MST.
Upcoming Changes
- Brand new Mining Expedition world has been added, providing a fresh new mining experience
- Token Chests have been added (with the ability to hold an unlimited amount of tokens)
- Escaped Convicts have been added (unique PvP based item which can be obtained from mining expeditions)
- Fly mode is now available to Rookies, bringing them a more playable experience
- Questions have been added to chat reaction games
- New command has been added to view the top abyss miners (/abysstop)
- Players can now also use the command "/gang join <gang>" to join a gang if they are currently on the roster
- New introduction task has been added (complete a Mining Expedition)
- Players that are detected as AFK will no longer take damage (to prevent accidental deaths)
- Private Mines will now be unlocked by default
- Fixed a bug with the Community Goal (where it would display the wrong Contribution Amount in the GUI)
- Mining Gear will now glow upon reaching max level
- Stacked Spawners will now work properly with "/pmine inspect" (it was not properly logging previously)
- Chat Games reward has been buffed from $50,000 to $250,000 (bringing it more in line with the modern day economy)
- Charity Time booster reward has been buffed from $10,000 to $50,000 (bringing it more in line with the modern day economy)
- Combat tag timer has been added to scoreboard for players inside the Wilderness
- Additional exchange points have been added around the Abyss mine
- Soul Beacons will now display in the item lore how many souls it currently contains
- Fixed a bug with the Citadel reward 'Double Essence' where it was not properly working with Sell Wands
- Players are now able to withdraw and pay dungeon credits (using the command /credits)
- Community Coinflip has now taken the same route as Skyblock and the win ratio has been adjusted to 45%
- Fixed a backend error related to our Custom Spawners plugin (which would often result in the wrong stack amount displaying)

Mining Expeditions:
For years, Mining on Prison has remained largely unchanged. This upcoming season, we’re introducing a brand new experience for all players to enjoy – Mining Expeditions! These can be accessed in the newly added world, located at /warp expedition.
During a Mining Expedition, players will take on three distinct objectives, each requiring them to mine a specific amount of certain blocks. The layout of the Mining Expedition mine is unique, challenging players to search for valuable ore veins (opposed to mining at random). Successfully completing Mining Expeditions rewards players with exclusive benefits, including permanent discounts on all spawners!

After completing a mining expedition, you may have the chance to uncover a rare and exciting reward: the Escaped Convict. Using this unique item summons a convict in the Wilderness, who will immediately begin fleeing for their life. The challenge? Track them down and claim victory! Whoever succeeds in taking down the convict will be handsomely rewarded for their efforts.

Token Chests are an exciting new feature coming in the upcoming season! Say goodbye to the hassle of managing a token shop and overflowing chests. With these new chests, players can effortlessly set up an endless token shop without any concerns about storage limitations! Like all custom items on Prison, these unique chests can be purchased from the Essence Shop.

Upcoming Changes
- New artifacts have landed in the digsite (music discs), which are used for the new Rhythmic Vault item.
- New item Rhythmic Vault has been added to the coin shop.
- Unique Farming Gear armor set has now been added, which can be leveled up to make farming more efficient.
- Chat reaction-based questions have now been added.
- Fixed a bug where placing and breaking a decapitation skull on a wall would result in the skull becoming non-functional.
- Players can now use teleport pads while holding a harvest hoe once again (due to popular request).
- Fixed up the custom resource pack with 1.21.4 (originally, it was not displaying textures correctly).
- Community coinflips have been added (a 10% house edge has been implemented for balancing purposes).
- Players who are detected as AFK will no longer take damage (to prevent accidental deaths).
- Armor inside the tools section of the shop has been replaced with the all-new farming gear.
- Armor inside the starter kit when players first join the server has been replaced with the new farming gear.
- Silk touch melon blocks have been removed from the daily deals (since no one harvested melons without a harvest hoe).
- Fixed a bug where picking up pets with a full inventory would result in the pet being permanently deleted.
- Fixed a bug where if players died in the same chunk as a mob hopper, the hopper would pick up their drops.
- Zombies will no longer drop stone (to prevent collection systems from getting clogged up with an unsellable item).
- Fixed a bug where holograms at spawn would have a pop-in effect and not render from far away.
- Fixed a bug where the 'Break Sugar Cane' random event was not working correctly.
- Decapitation custom enchantment has been removed (all players will now have the decapitation effect by default).
- Fixed a bug in the "/is points" GUI where it would show an unnecessary Oxygen enchantment.

Farming Gear:
Farming gear is an exciting new armor set that will be an essential requirement for all players this upcoming season. Every player receives a full set of farming gear upon joining the server, or you can purchase it from the Tools section of the shop. Each piece of farming gear levels up as you harvest specific crops. As your gear levels up, you'll gain a crop multiplier that boosts your farm's efficiency! Don’t forget to enhance your gear with the Farmer custom enchantment for even more crops.

Over time, Mobcoins have become a crucial currency for accessing exclusive items. To make them more accessible to new players, we’ve removed the Decapitation custom enchantment. Starting next season, all players can begin grinding Mobcoins and working towards a set of Mob Armor from day one—simply by killing mobs, with no special enchantments required.

Rhythmic Vault:
This season, the beloved Digsite is getting an exciting update! While uncovering artifacts, players will now have a chance to discover music discs, which come with a special purpose. Unlike regular artifacts, music discs cannot be sold. Instead, they can be stored in the all-new Rhythmic Vault on your island. By adding music discs to your Rhythmic Vault, you'll significantly boost your island level! This unique jukebox has unlimited storage for your music discs, making it an invaluable addition to your island. Don’t forget to use Farming Baskets at the Digsite to keep your music discs safe as you extract artifacts!

Upcoming Changes
- Brand new fishing world has been added at /warp fishing allowing players to earn fishcoins
- Fishcoins can now be spent in the fishing world to purchase exclusive items such as farming armor
- Farming armor has been added allowing players to earn more experience whilst farming crops
- Players are able to upgrade their farming armor using the newly added fishcoin currency
- The top fishermen will now be displayed in pedestals located at spawn
- New statistic "Fish Caught" has been added to the /stats command
- New beetroot farm has been added to generator islands (replacing both the Carrot and Wheat farms)
- Players now only need to farm in the beetroot farm to level up their bank and autosell factory
- Beetroot farm located on the generator island is a much bigger and more usable size
- Gen Drop Hoppers have been added to the new fishcoin shop
- /gen top can now be sorted into different categories
- /togglesell for gen wands (allowing players to disable the sell notifications)
- /split for gen wands (allowing players to split their gen wands into multiple smaller wands)

Fishing World:
The Fishing World is now accessible with /warp fishing! Upon joining, players will receive an unbreakable fishing rod specifically for this area. All fish caught here can be sold to the Fisherman in exchange for Fishcoins, our new in-game currency.
In Fishing World, players can catch fish of varying rarities, each valued differently in Fishcoins. Players can also use fishing bait to increase their chances of catching rarer fish. When activated, fishing bait lasts for 10 minutes. Fishcoins can be spent in the Fishcoin Shop on exclusive items that enhance the Gens Tycoon experience!

After collecting Fishcoins, players can spend them on the brand-new Farming Armor! When equipped, Farming Armor grants bonus experience while harvesting crops. This armor can be upgraded through 25 levels using the Upgrade Station located in the Fishing World. With each upgrade, players gain even more experience from crop harvesting, making Farming Armor an essential item for any serious farmer!

Gen Drop Hoppers are another exclusive item available only from the Fishcoin Shop. These hoppers are essential for maximizing the productivity of all generators on your island. Gen Drop Hoppers automatically collect all generator drops within a chunk, ensuring that your farm operates at 100% efficiency.

In the upcoming season, Generator Islands are getting an upgrade! Instead of a small wheat and carrot farm, islands will now feature a much larger beetroot farm. Beetroot has become the top crop in the game, granting 4 EXP per crop harvested. Working on this new farm will simultaneously contribute to upgrading both your Autosell Factory and Island Bank. Your island Beetroot farm is unlocked upon reaching prestige 3.
Say goodbye to balancing two small farms—with this rework, you can focus on one larger, more efficient farm!

This season, your island’s Wheel of Fortune is getting a major upgrade! First, players will receive significantly increased gem rewards with each spin. Additionally, as a daily incentive, every spin of the Wheel of Fortune will grant an extra generator slot for your island.
To top it off, a brand-new sell multiplier buff is being added to the wheel, boosting the value of your generator drops when sold. Spin daily to maximize your rewards and enhance your island's productivity!

- When placed in your grinder, spawner beacons will absorb all nearby mob souls, levelling up the beacon
- New community goal has been added to the prison depths world
- New roster feature has been added for gangs (/roster)
- Upon completion of the community goal, the server will receive a set of buffs for the upcoming 24 hours
- Upon completion of the community goal, a random booster will activate
- Amount of money received from the Citadel has been buffed drastically (50k to 500k)

In the upcoming season, players will now have the opportunity to place bets in the all-new Community Coinflip, which will take place every 10 minutes. Every player on the server can participate, competing directly against the house itself—MCCentral! Tired of paying taxes on all your coinflip wins? This is your chance to reclaim your wealth and take some money back from the house.

This season, we’re unveiling Soul Beacons, a brand-new item that can be purchased from the Essence Shop, and they’re set to become a game-changer for all mob grinders! These powerful beacons absorb the souls of nearby mobs as they die, making them an essential part of your grinding strategy. As your Soul Beacon absorbs more souls, it will level up, unlocking powerful buffs that boost the efficiency of all spawners on your private mine. The more souls you collect, the stronger your rewards!
But there’s a twist! Each Soul Beacon can only absorb a limited number of souls from each type of mob. So, be smart—strategize your mob grinders to capture souls from a variety of mobs and maximize your beacon’s potential!

This season, we’re introducing an exciting Community Goal within the Prison Depths! Every mob killed in the depths world will contribute toward this shared objective. Once the community achieves the goal, the top contributors will be rewarded handsomely, and everyone on the server will enjoy powerful buffs for the next 24 hours. Alongside these buffs, upon completing the community goal, the entire server will be rewarded with a random booster activating!

This season, we're giving Gangs a huge quality of life upgrade with the introduction of Rosters! Gangs will now have the ability to set a dedicated roster, allowing for seamless member management without the need for constant invites.
With the new roster system, players can automatically rotate in and out of a gang. When a new player joins through the roster, an offline member will be automatically removed to make room, ensuring your gang is always battle-ready with no downtime!

- Daily deals have been added to the shop, highlighting different sellable items each day to change up the meta
- Challenges will now reward players with much more meaningful items, rather than just dragon spawners
- Sell price of cactus has been buffed to $1.00 (making cactus farms more rewarding for the effort involved)

- Emerald blocks stored in the vault will now be taxed more heavily to reward islands that choose to place them by hand
- Players are no longer able to use teleport pads whilst holding harvest hoes to combat fully AFK f11 farming
- Wheel of fortune buff 'Bonus Robot Gems' has been replaced with 'Bonus Emeralds' from the emerald generators
- New upgrade has been added to the End Island allowing islands to reduce their Wheel of Fortune cooldown
- Players can now use '/block' whilst looking at a chest to compact all of the items inside of it
- Fixed a bug with conquest battles where mobs would sometimes stop respawning
- Conquest battles now go up to tier 5 (previously tier 3) for those seeking a more difficult challenge
- Iron Ingots and Poppys are now sellable for a small value (just to make clearning chests easier)
- Fixed a bug with our Anti AFK plugin which was not preventing players from breaking blocks in the nether generators
- Fixed a bug where if you purchased some items from the coinshop with a full inventory, you would lose the items
- Fixed a cosmetic issue in the emerald wand and sell wand throttle GUI where it would display an oxygen enchantment

Community Goals:
In this new season, we're introducing Community Goals, designed to unite the entire server in working towards shared objectives! Every 24 hours, a random goal will be selected for all players to contribute toward. When the community meets the goal, every participating player earns a reward, with bonus rewards for the top contributors. On top of this a random booster will activate for the community to enjoy! Set aside the competition and come together to achieve something great!

In the upcoming season, Emerald Chests will be available for purchase in the coin shop. These special chests can store an unlimited number of Emerald Blocks, making them perfect for players with silverfish grinders. This season, we're bringing a major change to the economy! Every day, 3 items will be featured in the shop with increased sell prices. These boosted deals aim to shift the meta away from grinding the same crops, encouraging players to explore alternative ways to earn money. You can view the daily deals directly within the /shop interface!

Random Challenges are a brand new event which will take place every 8 hours. All players online will be given a selected objective (for example Kill Sniffers) and the top 3 players who complete the most in the allocated time will be deemed the winners!

As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community!
