Scamming

Scamming on Factions and Prison are known for the two sub-servers and always have been. This has been suggested many times but has always gotten denied and frowned upon. I don't see this being added.

 

Even if getting scammed is annoying it's all apart of the game I've been scammed so many times.

 

Scamming is allowed on Prison and Factions because it fits into the "theme" of the sub-server. Can't see them ever disallowing it.

I don't think we'd ever see scamming as a punishable offence on prison. as scamming is something that's just apart of prison. I like how it makes players become more cautious and aware of things.
one thing i like about scamming in prison is always seeing the "creative" ones. can't really give an example of a "creative" one, but basically the ones you can tell it's a scam, either by getting scammed or by looking at it, and chuckling a 'lil cuz you've never seen something like that recently or something like that. soz. that isn't very helpful
i also like scamming on prison because, although it's a "unethical" way to make money, it can make good money if the scam is believable n' all that.
overall, I don't think the situation about scamming in prison is going to change anytime soon, or ever... and that it's great the way it is :D

I believe scamming will continue on in Prison and Factions sub-servers as its been like this for many seasons. I have seen many posts on the old forums about wanting to remove scamming across the whole server but each time nothing has been done.

Being more cautious will also help you with everyday life when you grow older as the amount of IRL scammers have increased dramatically. If you become so suspicious in a game such as Minecraft, it would really help you moving forward

As well as this, I believe scamming can easily be prevented on all servers, whether scamming is allowed or not, by using staff members as middlemans; it's a super easy and 100% effective way to prevent scamming, with no worries! I see no change coming to prevent scamming on these competitive subservers, and I do not see a need for it at this time.

 

Yes I know where you are going, but I think that is the point of the game. Playing smart and avoid being scam. Sure new players who doesn't play prison will get scam, but you learn from your mistake. Sometimes I see new players tries to scam too and that the point. Don't go on any fake plot because someone said "Find the button and click it , you will get 1m". Now that's an obvious scam and you need to know how to avoid it.

 

Scamming is annoying to deal with, which is why you play your cards safely. Also making scamming punishable in Prison would defeat the whole purpose of Prison, it's to to scam, gamble 'fight' and mine your way out and make some quick cash. As the other stated above, I just can't see this getting added since in my opinion, it ruins gameplay. We also should should seperate the sub-servers more, not make them all the same, it would be unbalanced if we had 3 sub-servers where it's not allowed and one sub-server where it is, or vice versa.

Scamming on Prisons, and Factions has always been allowed, since it is fairly easy to get money, and it is a very competitive sub-server compared to the rest of them. It is very annoying when you get scammed, but it is also fairly easy to bypass them. You can save up your money, and not take favors from anyone, (thats what I do). And you can also be very cautious on Factions from any IRL scammers, and from Faction Faction Scammers.

Scamming is annoying but you just need to be smart about these things like if you dont trust a person dont go to their plot and being careful of what you are doing.

Scamming is the beauty of the server, it’s a prison and scamming always can be a whole new business or money making path for some. I would recommend that you be careful when you make a deal and never be afraid to get a staff middle man as they are not allowed to scam. I would highly suggest getting a staff middle man when dealing an IRL deal. Be safe, enjoy and play

Scamming in Prison and Factions has been allowed since the very first season and probably will not change. Prison is attempting to imitate real life prison where chaotic things happen which goes unnoticed... stealing, gambling, gangs. I think this is the selling point of Prison and whilst it my be annoying to some, it is part of the game and I think there is nothing wrong with it

Scamming will be allowed forever.

It simply is too hard to moderate scams, for example, how do you determine what the value of a stick is? No one individual should decide, it should be up to the economy. How do you know the difference between selling a diamond at $75/diamond, or $750/diamond. Would you consider the $750/diamond a scam?

Simply put, it's a part of the game, and I find it much more enjoyable, as it allows moderators to focus on other critical aspects of their role, dealing with real cheaters.

I disagree with your opinion. I think scamming should be allowed as its kinda part of prison. Yes I get scammed myself after I do hard work as well. We all have been scammed just be smarter to prevent that. Getting scammed is a bit tuff, but its part of prison as I said.

 

i mean prisons is kinda anarchy with rules like u can scam ect, and i think thats good, i dont think scammers are good and they should be publically shamed by other people, jut be wary and watch out for scams most are easy to avoid

 

scamming is allowed on prison staff or admin cant do anything bet if it is irl trade and you pay irl i think they will help you
