The time has come once again for our Gens Tycoon server to start a brand new chapter. This season is focussed on adding as much new content as possible to keep the game feeling modern and fresh! This changelog will detail all changes big and small for our upcoming reset which will be dropping this upcoming Friday 8th November 3pm MST. Spoiler: Upcoming Changes Upcoming Changes - Brand new fishing world has been added at /warp fishing allowing players to earn fishcoins - Fishcoins can now be spent in the fishing world to purchase exclusive items such as farming armor - Farming armor has been added allowing players to earn more experience whilst farming crops - Players are able to upgrade their farming armor using the newly added fishcoin currency - The top fishermen will now be displayed in pedestals located at spawn - New statistic "Fish Caught" has been added to the /stats command - New beetroot farm has been added to generator islands (replacing both the Carrot and Wheat farms) - Players now only need to farm in the beetroot farm to level up their bank and autosell factory - Beetroot farm located on the generator island is a much bigger and more usable size - Gen Drop Hoppers have been added to the new fishcoin shop - /gen top can now be sorted into different categories - /togglesell for gen wands (allowing players to disable the sell notifications) - /split for gen wands (allowing players to split their gen wands into multiple smaller wands) - Island inspector mode has been added: /gen inspect - New island permission added allowing other players to break and place generators on your island - Community coinflips have now been added (working the same way as they do on Prison) - Generators obtained from Ancient and Mythical keys have both been buffed (higher sell value) - Gem pouches (obtained from treasure keys) have been buffed - Amount of gems which players receive from /kit gems has been buffed - Amount of gems which players receive from winning the chat games has been buffed - Auction house max sell price has been increased drastically - The old coinshop has now been removed, being replaced by the new fishcoin currency - We have now added /kit fishing granting players easy access to an unbreakable fishing rod - New perk has been added to Immortal rank (hunger will never go down) - New perk has been added to Diamond rank (keep your EXP on death) - High amounts of gems in the island bank will now be formatted in an easier to read format - Punching dragon eggs will no longer make them teleport around - Players will now receive much more gems when spinning the Wheel of Fortune - New Wheel of Fortune buff has been added: Bonus Sell Value - Upon spinning the Wheel of Fortune, players will receive +1 generator slot for their island - Random disguise in the seasonal keys has been replaced with a 5000 use generator wand - Fixed a bug where players would randomly get disconnected for out-of-order chat - Upon trading or dueling another player, all generator drops in your inventory will no longer get sold - New introduction tasks have been added based around the newly added content (fishing world etc) - New command has been added /fishtop to view the top fishermen on the server - Fixed a major bug related to balances exceeding a hardcoded limit - Gen Wands have now been added as a possible reward in voting keys - New fishing bait item has been added to the fishcoin shop allowing players to catch better fish - New spawn builds Fishing World: The Fishing World is now accessible with /warp fishing! Upon joining, players will receive an unbreakable fishing rod specifically for this area. All fish caught here can be sold to the Fisherman in exchange for Fishcoins, our new in-game currency. In Fishing World, players can catch fish of varying rarities, each valued differently in Fishcoins. Players can also use fishing bait to increase their chances of catching rarer fish. When activated, fishing bait lasts for 10 minutes. Fishcoins can be spent in the Fishcoin Shop on exclusive items that enhance the Gens Tycoon experience! Farming Armor: After collecting Fishcoins, players can spend them on the brand-new Farming Armor! When equipped, Farming Armor grants bonus experience while harvesting crops. This armor can be upgraded through 25 levels using the Upgrade Station located in the Fishing World. With each upgrade, players gain even more experience from crop harvesting, making Farming Armor an essential item for any serious farmer! Gen Drop Hoppers: Gen Drop Hoppers are another exclusive item available only from the Fishcoin Shop. These hoppers are essential for maximizing the productivity of all generators on your island. Gen Drop Hoppers automatically collect all generator drops within a chunk, ensuring that your farm operates at 100% efficiency. Beetroot Farm: In the upcoming season, Generator Islands are getting an upgrade! Instead of a small wheat and carrot farm, islands will now feature a much larger beetroot farm. Beetroot has become the top crop in the game, granting 4 EXP per crop harvested. Working on this new farm will simultaneously contribute to upgrading both your Autosell Factory and Island Bank. Your island Beetroot farm is unlocked upon reaching prestige 3. Say goodbye to balancing two small farms—with this rework, you can focus on one larger, more efficient farm! Wheel of Fortune: This season, your island’s Wheel of Fortune is getting a major upgrade! First, players will receive significantly increased gem rewards with each spin. Additionally, as a daily incentive, every spin of the Wheel of Fortune will grant an extra generator slot for your island. To top it off, a brand-new sell multiplier buff is being added to the wheel, boosting the value of your generator drops when sold. Spin daily to maximize your rewards and enhance your island's productivity! Miscellaneous Changes As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community! Players can expect to see brand new builds alongside a smoother gameplay experience with a handful of our backend plugins being updated with performance improvements.
