The time has come once again for our Gens Tycoon server to start a brand new chapter. This season is focussed on adding as much new content as possible to evolve this brand new gamemode even further! This changelog will detail all changes big and small for our upcoming reset which will be dropping this upcoming Friday 2nd February 3pm MST. Spoiler: Upcoming Changes Upcoming Changes - Server has officially been renamed from Lifesteal Gens to Gens Tycoon - Brand new Gem Bank and Bank Farm have been added to all generator islands - Brand new Autosell Factory and Autosell Farm have been added to all generator islands - Wheel of Fortune has been added to all generator islands - Many lifesteal aspects have now been dropped and more emphasis has been put on the generator aspect - Players can now access virtual storage inside the island world - New toggle has been added allowing players to view their own disguises - Players are now only able to sell their own generator drops to balance the gameplay for those without alts - Chat Games have now been added which take place roughly every 30 minutes - Players are now able to sit down on stairs inside the generator world - New island permissions have been added for the newly added features (Autosell Factory / Gem Bank) - Upon hovering over a players name in chat, it will now display their gem balance - /stats command has been reworked to show more generator related information (gem balance, etc) - Fixed a handful of bugs with the '/gens level' GUI once a player had obtained max level - Hologram Skulls have now been added as a crate reward - New crate reward added which gives players the possibility to increase their island generator limit - Gem Pouches have now been added as a new crate reward - New perk has been added to crates (10% discount on all generators and upgrades) - New perk has been added to crates (/kit gems command) - All of the Introduction Tasks (/help) have been revamped to be more focussed around the gens gameplay - Unique generators have now been added as a crate key reward - Survival resource world has been added which will reset weekly (used to gather items needed for your generator island) Gem Bank: The Gem Bank is a brand new feature which is located on all generator islands. This bank is the new metric for ranking the top islands on the server (the island with the most gems in the bank will be ranked as the #1 island). Every 24 hours, all gems that are stored in your bank will accumulate interest. Players are able to increase their daily interest rate by harvesting crops in the farm located next to the bank. It is important that players use their bank wisely! Once gems have been deposited, they will not be able to be withdrawn. The Gem Bank is unlocked once players reach prestige 1. Autosell Factory: The Autosell Factory is a brand new feature which is located on all generator islands. Upon unlocking this factory, players will gain the ability to automatically sell their generator drops. Opting to automatically sell your generator drops through this factory will of course come with a tax! Players are able to reduce their autosell tax rate by harvesting crops in the farm located next to the factory. The Autosell Factory is unlocked once players reach prestige 3. Island Farms (Beetroot & Wheat): Linked to the above 2 features (Gem Bank & Autosell Factory) comes 2 brand new island farms. Each generator island has 2 farms located on them. The Beetroot farm is directly linked to the Gem Bank and the Wheat farm is directly linked to the Autosell Factory. By harvesting crops in these farms, players will progress through a series of upgrades to increase their bank interest rate and reduce their autosell tax rate. The beetroot farm is unlocked once players reach Prestige 2, and the Wheat farm is unlocked once players reach prestige 4. Wheel of Fortune: The Wheel of Fortune is a brand new feature that is located on every generator island. Players must charge this wheel by harvesting crops from either of the farms located on the island. Once the wheel has been charged, players will be able to spin the wheel and receive a random buff (such as bonus generator drops) on their island for the upcoming 24 hours. The Wheel of Fortune is unlocked once players reach Prestige 5. Miscellaneous Changes As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community! Players can expect to see brand new builds alongside a smoother gameplay experience with a handful of our backend plugins being updated with performance improvements.
