Trolling or Staff Trolling

Instructing users to do things that may confuse them, or result in an unexpected outcome on the Discord server.

This also applies to situations where a staff member helps a user and the user “trolls” the staff member and wastes their time.

This can also be “useless tagging” if a player tags staff for no reason.

Unrelated Discussion in Support Chat

Using the #support chat for any discussions not related to actual support topics on MCCentral.

Spamming

Sending 3 or more of the same or similar messages to spam in a text channel. Includes excessive tagging.

Can also be issued if a user sends 3 or more messages that are meant to spam the text channel. (ex. Several messages with only 1 word).

Encouraging Group Spam

/ Group Spam

Encouraging other players to do group spam or participating in group spam. Group spam is counted as 3 or more players sending the same message in order to cause spam.

Sending commonly used messages such as GG after promotions is allowed.

Discussing Unapproved Deals or Trades

Saying or discussing an unapproved IRL deal or trade in a text or voice channel.

Trades and deals can only involve in-game goods and MCCentral web store items. Anything else is not allowed.

Channel Join Spam

Constantly joining and leaving a channel to annoy others.

1 Day Ban

DDoS Wishes / DOX Wishes / Swat Wishes / Rat Wishes

Wishing for other players to get DDoSsed, DOXed, swatted or ratted.

3 Day Mute

Chat Flooding

Sending 5 or more messages to cause spam in a text channel. Includes excessive tagging.

Also punishable if a single message is divided into multiple lines in order to cause the chat to flood. (1 Row = 1 Message)

Can also be issued if a user sends 5 or more messages that are meant to spam the text channel. (ex. Several messages with only 1 word).

3-5 Day Mute

Arguing

Constant arguing in public text channels or public voice channels.

Player Harassment or Disrespect

Sending messages that are meant to hurt, insult or intimidate other players. This rule does not apply to private voice channels, unless reported.

Harassment means continuous and ongoing bullying which is less severe than plain disrespect.

Abuse of Ticket Systems

Abusing the ticket systems on Discord for example by sending inappropriate tickets and trolling or spamming tickets.

Explicit or Inappropriate Conversation

Discussing explicit or inappropriate topics, such as sexual topics, in public chat or public voice channels.

Discrimination

Discrimination towards a race, religion, sexual orientation or color.

Arguing over race, religion or politics in chat.

Death Threats or Wishes / Encouraging Suicide / Encouraging Self-Harm

Putting death threats on other players or wishing for them to die.

Encouraging other players to go hurt themselves in real life or encouraging suicidal acts.

Slurs

Using a term designed to insult others on the basis of race, color, religion or sexuality. This rule does not apply to private voice channels, unless reported.

Music or Microphone Spam

Shouting loudly or playing music through the microphone. This rule only applies to public voice channels.

Voice Changers

Using external software to modify a user’s voice. This rule only applies to public voice channels.

Inappropriate Links/Images/Videos/Stream

Sending links, images or videos in a text channel which some users might find inappropriate or offensive. This includes links to hacked clients.

Streaming inappropriate content through the Discord screenshare feature.

7 Day Mute / Reaction Revoke

Reaction revoke can be appealed in 7 days.

In the case of a stream it’s a stream revoke. In other cases it’s a mute.

Impersonation of Staff Members

Having a name similar/identical to a staff member’s username or Discord name and using it to trick players.

Permanent Ban

Can be appealed after changing the username.

If the user does it again, the ban can only be appealed after 6 months.

Impersonation of Staff Members or Staff Positions in DMs

Impersonating as a member of the staff team or taking on specific actions of a staff member in DMs.

Advertising

Sharing the IP address, the website address, TeamSpeak 3 IP, Discord link or web store link (etc.) of another server.

Sharing a join link of other Discord servers which are not part of the MCCentral network.

This rule applies to all text channels and public voice channels. It also applies to private voice channels, unless the other user asked for the IP address.

Permanent Ban

Can be appealed in 6 months after the ban. The wait time can be 1 month in some cases, such as accidental advertising.

Spambots

A lot of Discord accounts owned by the same user spam text channels and voice channels.

DDoS, DOX, Rat or Swat Threats

Threatening to DDoS, DOX, swat or rat another user.

This rule applies to all text channels, public voice channels, private voice channels, status messages and about me descriptions.

Leaking Personal Information

Releasing personal information of another user in the form of a message in a text channel, public voice channel, private voice channel, username change, status messages or about me descriptions.

Phishing Links

Sending links in a text channel in an attempt to compromise another user’s accounts or personal information.

Being blacklisted on the server, or having the username of a blacklisted user on the Discord server.

Using another Discord account while muted in order to evade a mute.

Using another Discord account while banned in order to evade a ban.

Mute or Ban Evading Using 3+ Accounts

Having 3 or more accounts muted or banned at the same time on Discord.

Over 40 Punishments on Discord

Having over 40 punishments on the MCC Community Discord. Only punishments within the last 2 years count towards this limit.

Inappropriate Profile Picture

Offensive Discord Status / About Me Description / Pronouns

Having a discriminative or offensive Username / Profile Picture.

Having a username of a blacklisted player.

Having an offensive Discord Status message, About Me description or Pronouns on the basis of discrimination or having DDoS/DOX/Rat/Swat threats.

Permanent Ban

Can be appealed after changing the username/profile picture/status/about me description/pronouns.

If the user does it again, the ban can only be appealed after 6 months.

Inappropriate Songs/Screamers/Ear Rape

Any songs containing excessive explicit language or audio that could disrupt a user’s listening experience.

Music Channel Ban

Inappropriate Use of Reactions or Emojis

Using emojis via a message or reaction in an inappropriate or explicit manner.

Reaction Revoke

Can be appealed in 7 days.

Spamming Reactions

Adding reactions to 3 or more messages in order to spam reactions. The reactions don’t need to be the same emoji on each message.
