sorry for my english i cant be bothered to check it. So as the title says, xp boost on hh is pretty much a scam. An hh with xp boost should have everything useful (meaning everything that helps farming) maxed before a hh without it you would think right? the realty is not that much like it. according to the numbers in https://mccentral.org/community/threads/info-skyblock-season-11.128272/ if you max your xp boost first you should have your whole hh maxed at around 2.5m crops which is fine and makes sense. the problem starts when you don't do that. If you choose not getting maxing xp boost first but getting some other things in the middle (autosell,double drops,treasure hunter) getting those next xp boost levels will be much more expensive then before as you will be needing to farm levels for xp boost with more crops needed per level. I think the words so far might not make sense outside my head so I will talk a little with numbers. My hh have only 1 xp boost level meaning I got everything other then xp boost on it at 81 levels; I got to level 81 at 3,047,480 crops. Both of im8td harvest hoes had their xp boost maxed at level 29 got his harvest hoe maxed on around the 3.3m-3.4m crops meaning at least 250k crops more then the not maxed xp boost Cherdley also had his xp boost maxed early (he is saying he got it maxed before getting anythingelse which means either he remembers the order wrong or the numbers in khayleb post are wrong) and he still had his hh maxed at around the 3.3m mark. I will not go over everyone I asked but I believe it is quite clear what I am going to say, with my single level of xp boost I had my hh "maxed" with less crops out of everyone I asked. (everyone had xp boost X) some people who had their xp boost maxed in the 50 area even said they maxed everything else at 3.7m, making the margin even bigger. basically my underline is that something is wrong with xp boost. might have to edit this later because of formating. In the screenshot you can see my hh with 3,047,480 crops and it being able to have everything but xp boost maxed
XP boost increases the rate at which you gain XP. Meaning if you boost your XP to MAX early on, you are going to gain XP rapidly, and thus have less crops mined. If you boost it at a higher level, then whilst your XP gain will increases, its not going to retroactively make your XP jump up based on how many crops you've gained. Lets use the double drops boost for example - when you boost it up, you don't go "Ah, I mined 3.7 million crops, why wasn't I awarded an extra 200k crops for leveling up the double drops!", its just simply not how it works. At the end of the day, the crops mined statistic is just a fun number to be displayed, not a metric for how much XP your HH has, as XP boost is going to change how much XP you have with how many crops you've mined.
