I think all bans should be reset for the prison reset, I'm saying this because prison resets every so often, which is why a good 9-10 months there should be an unban for all players. Factions shouldnt have an unban wave because it resets every month, but prison and other sub servers reset every so often that its so long for banned players to wait. There are COUNTLESS players that are banned for dumb reasons, like shared accounts. I was ip banned because of a shared account that was linked to me, but there are so many players that would come back to prison, spend money on the server, and a bigger playerbase. People would enjoy this so flippin much that the player count would increase greatly because of all the players that would come back. So, admins/sr mods/owners, WIPE BANS FOR PRISON RESET!
And all the hackers that were banned for actually hacking in prison and ruining everyone's experience? All of the people actually ban-evading? The bhoppers, glitch abusers, DDOS threateners? What about them? They may spend money. But hacking is hacking. --- Don't wipe bans for prison reset.
This is most likely never going to happen, and for good reason. I believe all you're considering is the impact that this would have on Prison (which would still be a huge net negative); what you're suggesting would be disastrous for the entire server. Wiping all bans server-wide on Prison resets would mean players with permanent bans and/or IP bans for hacking 3+ times on multiple accounts will have a complete fresh start. This would pretty much exclusively benefit the fly hackers/scaffolders/b-hoppers that infest Skywars, KitPvP, Prison PvP, etc, and almost completely remove the point of having a permanent ban in the first place. We'd be giving more chances to players who only want to hurt the server and ruin the experience for people who play legit. Your problem with the ban system doesn't seem to be the vast majority of bans which happen because the player is using a hacked client, but the very small few who get banned from sharing accounts/public alts (this is despite you having used an alt to fly in PvP and autoclicking, so your IP ban issues are not entirely the fault of sharing accounts). Although I agree that it's unfortunate that players are often caught up in IP bans because of the history of one account, the server's position on account sharing is very clear. Feedback on how to improve the system is always appreciated, but in my opinion, your solution to the problem of a small group who couldn't follow the server's guidelines is not only ineffective, but also extremely damaging.
While I somewhat see your point, can you imagine how much damage this could do to the server? You are unbanning literally everyone who has harmed the server and your playing experience and there is a high chance they will do it again. I'm sure there are a few bans which would in theory make sense to be lifted, like possibly account sharing however, it isn't like they can pick these out. They would have to lift literally everyone's bans, which would in a sense open the floodgates of all the hackers. In my opinion this could literally never work, as we would just be forgiving everyone who has done wrong, only for them to likely do it again
Hello! This will not be happening. There are far too many players who are banned legitimately that should not receive an unban whatsoever. I understand your frustration with IPBans for sharing accounts even though Swinger has already said it all in that regard. We are welcome to feedback on how to improve any guidelines you may disagree with rather than simply unbanning a ton of players and allowing them to play again as it really would be a very bad idea. We have definitely received complaints on how our system works with sharing accounts but for now our blanket rule is rather simple, DO NOT SHARE ACCOUNTS OR USE ACCOUNTS YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT/OWN OFFICIALLY! I am more open to any suggestions on how to improve the quality of life by changing the inner workings and plugins of how we deal with IPBans and that type of thing rather than demanding a giant wave of unbans. I apologize for the disagreement however this would not be the best solution for the problem you're addressing. Have a lovely rest of your day. ♡
No. This is now the 4th time you've asked about chaging IP bans and or ban resetting. Stop asking. The above staff have covered the point excelently. So, with that being said; thread locked.
