It’s frustrating how there’s no warning system. You can get muted hours after doing a “crime”. Please, half the time people don’t know why they’re muted.
I remember that I was given warnings but that was a long time ago, I don't know now since I don't play on MCC much as before and can't tell you.
Hey, there is a warning system for MCC. Before you get a severity 1 mute you will get issued a warn in-game unless it is from a report. If you are confused as to why you were punished you can always look at https://mccentral.org/punishments/ . If you feel you may have been unfairly muted you can always appeal at https://mccentral.org/community/forums/appeals/ . Make sure to be respectful and professional in your appeal and odds are you will get pardoned =) If you are confused as to what the chat rules are, please see https://mccentral.org/community/rules/ Good luck!
Hey Trogs. there is a warning system on the server. I have received many warnings in my past, and you could check my history if you choose. If you bypassing the filter, then you would just get muted. Also, people do know why they're muted, when they talk it tells them the reason they're muted and can't talk. Edit: @DrBrando 's post didn't show up on my page but he is correct
MCC does have a warning system, but not all chat offences require a warning and one can only be given if a staff member witnesses the offence. Heres a link to all punishable offences, the ones that require a warning will have a 'warning required' below their severities. You can always ask the staff member who has punished you to know why you were muted, and if your punishment was given through a chatreport you also can ask them to show you the evidence. If you feel that you were unfairly muted you can appeal the it here.
It's annoying that they don't warn you for things that explicitly state that there should be a warning first. But when you get chatreported, it bypasses that rule for some reason. You could be warned by a staff member, but then later muted because of a chatreport issued by a player at the same time, too, and so you get punished twice, and it appears on your record as if you didn't listen to the warning and continued. Maybe the responding staff member to a /chatreport should warn the player, if they're still online, and if they are offline or already received a warning about what the chatreport is saying, then they get muted.
