Hola! Its tired hours and I've come up with an interesting idea, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Quests in survival should be slightly altered in order for them to be more "worth the work" and give players something good to work towards. Earlier this season there was a quest that was to make 210 anvils, or similar amount. This was a monthly quest, and the reward was 40k. I did the math, and thanks to my calculator, I figured out that the amount of iron needed to make this amount of anvils is noticeably less than that of the amount earned from achieving this reward. Something I would love to see is quests being more relevant to survival, such as "harvest 100 carrots", or "mine 3 diamond ores", which we do see sometimes, however the ones like "craft 210 redstone compartorators" are completely irrelevant, and it's not a "natural" quest. By natural quest, I mean something a player doesn't have to know they're doing. I would like to see quests be similar to the layout of achievments in Singleplayer Vanilla Minecraft, however after a checkpoint is reached, players recieve a reward, such as 50k, or at a high amount, a stack of tokens if they're added. This would motivate players to complete quests, as the rewards at the moment aren't exactly worth it if we can fish for 40k in 10 minutes. I think this would bring more life to survival, and would promote a positive community response in order for players to help each other. Thanks, Nikki
hey nikki, firstly, next season is seasn 8, not 10 eballan lied to you.... then next off, i made a similar post a while ago before season7 reset and i agree that quests are hella whacked out. i'm not exactly sure what you're suggesting to be added, since quests like that already exist and they lowkey are part of the reason why quessts are so whacked since the amounts are so little they can easily be done. having something that would actually take a month to do, like eat 2,000 golden carrots. like obviously this can be done in a day if you sprint/jump on a bunch of ice back and forth, but golden carrots give saturation and fill hunger n blah blah. i feel like maybe things like "trade with X villagers" could be an idea etc. although the crafting quests are irrelevant to survival, i feel that they should stay since they give a reason for players to play survival to gather the materials and to craft the items. it's just a wyay to use resources instead of just fully neglecting them when youre in fb or whatever. if survival only had ones that are like "harvest X crops" or "eat X food" or "mine X block" there would be things that would get neglected. some of the whacked out quests do get neglected that's for sure like enchant 35 golden shovels, but for an easy quest like crating comparators, I don't think that's such a hassle since it brings players to gathering resources and then putting them to use. overall, I agree quests are whacked, but not so much with removing a certain kind, maybe just make other existing ones more apparent. have a nice day
Hey Nikki_, This would be an amazing idea. I know a lot of players that don't do their monthly quests because some of them are just straight up stupid. No one wants to sit there and eat 1200 potatoes or mine 5000 beacons. Quest 100% need a revamp and need to be focused more towards the Survival server as i don't think Survival gets enough love from the Owners Cheers Harry
Hey, I agree with you. Current survival quests are kind of wonky, and you have to go out of your way to complete them for a reward that isn't completely worth it. I believe that your suggestion would up the ante in survival and bring a little more life into it while making it more fun as we would have different motivations to do different things and branch our interests out over the entirety of the season. Thanks, riddlework
Hello! I think this would be great! To be completely honest, I forgot there were quests, I stopped doing them after they got insane, and forgot they were there! I definitely feel that the quests should tone down a bit, while also still being challenging father on, like with monthly quests. It'll create a better atmosphere around the server and make it feel less out-of-whack. I don't believe sheer amount should mean a reward, but it should keep some aspect of a challenge and provide a better motivation in the server! Overall, a great idea! Hope you have a great day/evening!
