I don't usually play survival but I happened to join and look at the perks you get for donating. what I saw was super disappointing. I feel like they should defiantly buff the in-game perks you get from the ranks. it doesn't seem right that you pay so much money for a very simple command like /feed.
well, also take into consideration that it's survival and they're trying to make it more survival like. and it's mcc so there's obv gonna be some p2w aspect w/ it
As @puposaurus says, the server attempts to remain semi-vanilla to provide a larger grind to obtain better items/equipment in Survival. I personally like the grind however I do agree that the donator perks are slightly lacking, even if vanilla is the intention. I feel that a rework for the donator benefits on Survival should be in order :)
./feed is actually more useful than it seems, especially at the beginning of the game. /shop on survival doesn't sell anything, and the only way to get food other than obtaining them on your own or buying from the auction house or player-owned shops is by using the kit starter, which is only available once every two days and it only has 16 steaks. Getting food is harder this season especially at the beginning, which makes this perk more useful. I also agree that the perks on Survival need to be adjusted to make them more helpful. Before the major version update in season 7, the /fly perk,(Emerald) was very helpful (and very OP), and it was the main reason for many Survival players to get an Emerald rank or above. The /fix perk (Bedrock) was also very helpful. It's still helpful but not as irreplaceable as before since there's mending now. Currently, the perk abilities don't work as well as they did before because the game was updated to 1.12 but most of the perks were designed with 1.8 gameplay in mind. Hopefully, they will be adjusted in the next season.
As others have said I feel like there are definitely less perks for donators due to the sub-server type. But, I feel that the perks that are available are very useful.
