Hey all! As a frequent member of MCC I have noticed some things that I believe can be improved for a more user-friendly game. Having a dedicated player base is good for any server. Survival has a stronger demographic of veteran players as they already know how the server works while the newly introduced players could use more assistance, needing help from more experienced players. For example, new players are just thrown into the server with zero tips which lead to confusion right off the bat. Confused players will most likely not attend again. They can ask for help but why stop there. Possibly, when a new player gets on, he or she is directly warped into /warp tutorial which would lead to less confusion as they begin, keeping the player base healthy and frequent. Next, being a survival plots server is unique because not many servers have this characteristic. The addition of an economic system really expanded the possible ways players can interact with one another. In light of this, I suggest, we can add a way to make the plots server more social without taking away the “survival” aspect. One suggestion is to have a form of “advertising” command where it lists the plots for those who are just curious to look at other plots. We can essentially kill two birds with one stone because as most players struggle to have their plot recognized, i.e. Builds or Shops, we can have this “menu” or “list” to show onto the player base which plots are the best. We can also implement the economy aspect by having a timed slot. For example, I could rent a space in this advertising menu for X amount of days for X amount of money. By doing this, it rewards players who stay on the server long enough, allows players to safely navigate certain plots, and gives players a way to use up money for the late game. The survival server is not a “land claim” server but a “plots” server, which means we are all in close proximity. Working to include features that get the community closer to one another can provide for an even better MC experience for its users. Please, no hate <33 these are just suggestions! Hey Jooooshy! I can agree to your idea's.... But I don't think that new players should be warped to /warp tutorial because they can make a forums account and go to the survival guide made by MCCStoreOwner here. Also I love the idea of the advertisement command, In skyblock theirs a /is top, they should add a /p top feature where your able to see plots that have most votes or something.
I agree with Jooooshy, new players rlly need to see /warp tutorial to understand how survival works, in my case, I saw at the /warp menu that it has the tutorial, but it isn't clear enough for who just don't know about warps. And about the plots is a rlly cool idea, it would be like the /is warps menu of Skyblock, it would be cool for players with cool plots like you and also shops like me xD
I know I was confused when I first played survival, but it does live up to its name so I figured it out pretty quick, since spawn has a warp portal they can just go into the resource world or plot world and just play survival, its not a complicated sub server at all, just a plot worlds and the resource worlds. plus in the portal it also has the warp tutorial so they can just go there themselves. none of the sub servers have a spawn in tutorial, not even for factions (I say factions bc I think its confusing, that's just me ok) so I don't really see this happening sadly, on the other hand though I like your idea with the advertisement, especially with people who have good shops that new players can start off on. also helping them out. anyways in conclusion, thank you for writing good ideas for survival. new ideas are always good :) have a good day/night!
