Hello, my name is Lieger and I've been playing Minecraft (SG specifically) since 2012 back on MCSG. Most of the old Sg servers have shut down since then, however, there is what looks like a resurgence starting to happen in Sg and in Minecraft in general. Over the last few months, Minecraft has been on the incline and has started to get a lot more players on, for example, 6 months ago Hypixel would at max host 27000-29000 players even at its most popular hours. As of me writing this right now, Hypixel has 57980 players on its servers. You may be wondering, why am I talking about Hypixel, in a way, Hypixel is sort of the leading server when it comes to player count out of every server out there so in a way it somewhat represents the community. With the resurgence of Minecraft taking place, it seems that a lot of the players coming back to the game are older and because of this they are looking for more competitive game modes. Games like UHC, Skywars, 1v1s, and Sg are just some of the few that are starting to make a comeback as of recent and because of this, I think that it could be a prime opportunity to take advantage. And I just want to preface this by saying in no way am I suggesting to copy or take aspects from other servers. I think MC Central has a very good as well as a very unique to itself feeling that no other server really has. everything that I suggest is stuff that I've talked about with top players in the community and a lot of them would love to see some of these things added or established on the server. Possible changes to Sg -Tiering Most of the maps that are on MC Central are maps from the server that I previously mentioned (MCSG) and I believe when the maps are first downloaded some of the chests are ender chests. Those Ender chests on other servers where the basis of the tiering system, the ender chests being the tier two chests and normal ones being tier one chests. Personally, I and the people that I've talked to (Some of which are top monthly as well as top players overall on the server) agree that if there were set chests (The ender chests) that were tier two it could add the whole concept of having chests routes on specific maps, this would allow things such as Sg clans to perhaps develop again. While I don't think this is a huge issue or problem I think that if this were added it could open a lot of doors to possibilities on the server. -Sponsorships To me this is not a huge suggestion or something that I feel like is super important but I know some people would like to see it added. The concept of being able to sponsor someone that is in a match with Items. These would be a set list of items (EX: 3 arrows, a stick, an iron ingot, cooked beef, cooked fish, 2 enchant bottles) or another example that I've seen on a server is a drop crate (When you sponsor someone they get a torch or Redstone torch and when they place it a drop crate drops from the sky like a supply drop and it could have armor or weapons or food in it (Maybe like a tier 2 chest). These could be done by perhaps using the already established credits on the server (EX: costing 200 credits to sponsor someone). - Enchanting and Anvils I think the concept of being able to enchant and what not is a great thing and it adds another aspect to the game to make it more interesting. I know that when I say this people that are High levels are going to say stuff like "Well just play more and you'll get levels too" or "it's completely fair" but I think basing the number of levels you get in Sg off of your total overall level is a bit unfair. there have been a bunch of times where I get to deathmatch and someone is able to hit me 4 times with either a bow or a sword and they kill me when I am 8/10 armor bars and come to find out they had a power 3 or even 4 bows. Something like that to me makes Sg not super enjoyable nor does it make the game fair for newcomers to the server. I think the idea of being able to do all of that is great and even at times having the ability to anvil something, however, I think that it should be more difficult to be able to do that, perhaps remove a couple of the anvils from the maps so that there is one or two around the entire map, I think that as of now the maps have a good amount of enchanting tables on them but some of them have too many anvils and its way too easy to get sharp or power 2, 3 or 4. Another suggestion is to have set levels for everyone or perhaps putting a cap on levels for Sg to maybe like 12-18. Possible server Changes - Fixing the Anti-Cheat so I'm sure at this point you're tired of hearing about this, every game you join people talk about it, all over the forums people talk about it, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm going to talk about it. Too much of the time when I play Sg and I know I am going to make it to deathmatch I can almost guarantee there will be a cheater. And I think that I can speak for everyone when I say this, it is the worst feeling knowing you're going to win and as soon as you engage the last guy in full leather he snaps a 180 and starts to 6 block you. This has happened in probably almost every single game that I have played on this server and me playing on here dates back to 2015-2016. Another thing to me that shows that the Anti-Cheat needs to be at least updated is that anytime a player gets hit (and I mean almost every single time) the player hit gets lagged back. I have seen no server except this one past 2015 have this issue and I feel like something should be done about it. I seriously think this server and especially the Sg is really really good and fun and I think that the community on this server is amazing too and everyone I know agrees if anything needs to get changed or updated that this should be the one thing out of everything. Please feel free to leave comments with ideas that you may have or what your opinions may be on some of what I suggested, I just think with the resurgence happening that some sort of update or change could be done to cater to those making their comeback! :)
Personally, I only agree slightly with "Tiering". MCC doesn't have a "huge" problem with SG chests, but it's noticeable. One chest gets you a wooden sword, another just food, and one gives you full iron. Sure, it's part of the game. It's luck based. But tiering would be nice.
