So I made a community ticket about 5 days ago and still haven't gotten a response, figured i'd make a thread under the general discussion and maybe it would get more attention. Anyway, what I was suggesting was that there should be a rank for streamers using other platforms other than Youtube. We're all content creators and I think it would be nice to see something like this. Of course there would be specific requirements for getting it.
Figured i'd let the staff come up with the requirements. My suggestion would be being a twitch affiliate which has its own requirements set by twitch. 50 followers, average of 3 views, stream for 12 hours, stream for 7 days.
Hello. I don't really think that there's a need for the staff team to create a new rank for streamers and other content creators; a lot of niche creators already upload clips of their playtime to YouTube and even stream there, too. I think the key is striking a balance for everyone.
Hey Thank you for taking your time to suggest this. I don’t see a point on your idea, as most of the people who stream in MCC wouldn’t meet the requirements. If streamers could apply for youtuber i think it would be nice but i don’t think we need a new rank for twitch streamers / content creators only. Also the requirements you said are too easy to meet (i used to stream cs:go and i’d get 10 viewers and I had 50 followers only). Have a nice day
Hey! I don't think this is beneficial. I have yet to see a big streamer on twitch which plays regularly on MCCentral. I am not sure anyone would qualify to have that rank because the requirements for these ranks are usually quite high. I still see a lot more MCCentral content on youtube compared to twitch. Disagreed!
I'm not sure why people start all of their comments with a "Hey" here but then again, I'm new so what do I know :') For your situation though, I believe the time limit for replying to a ticket was 2 weeks? So I'd wait it out for an official response. There's a dedicated team for these kinds of things and while the idea itself may be novel, it still needs to go through the necessary processes for it to be implemented. (Although I personally think your idea might be cool). Good luck bud! ^-^
Yeah those requirements are really low to be honest. But those don't have to be the exact ones. Maybe 25 viewers even? Whole thing was just an idea, even if not a lot of people would meet the requirements I don't see that as a problem. Not everyone should be able to get it easily. I know just me personally i've been streaming for about a week and a half. I average around 7 viewers as of right now. And I know that i've brought at least 10 people to the server from people asking where i'm playing on and what the IP is. So if someone with a viewership much higher that would def bring in more people. Again, it's just a suggestion.
I approve of this. But instead of Having youtube role and streamer role, the role could be called Content Creator and its a all in one.. you know what i mean?
