Howdy! So, I have seen some talk about this that staff members don't have a command to spectate and I had gathered from staff members that they have to join a new game and hope the hacker they are looking for is there, I and other players would love to see a command that allowed a staff member to join a match that the player was in, If the staff team did happen to add this permission it would decrease the hacker count exponentially, for example, it can take up to an hour for a staff member to even be in the same game with the hacker but with this command staff members could easily spectate the players, it would make their lives and ours much easier since we wouldn't have to worry too often if a hacker is in our game, it would be the cause of a serious drop in hackers causing chaos. I really hope to see this command implemented. Bye bye
I asked a staff member, and apparently they can't spectate hackers, even if they're in the same game (at least on CTF). Hackers usually stop when they see a moderator join. The server really needs staff support, such as teleporting to, and being able to spectate, for catching hackers on minigames. Currently, the only way is to send reports, which can take hours to be responded to, or if the hacker doesn't notice the staff member join. +1 on this
Hey! There is currently not a command for staff members to spectate on minigames! It can be a bit frustrating but there is a way for you to help the staff members! A way to help is to get a recording software and record the hackers and then report them on forums! This is a really good way to help the staff members with hackers on minigames! You can also tell the staff members that there is a hacker in your game in the #support section in the MCC discord and they will most likely help you with the hacker problem! Howdy Bolling. I agree with this thread completely. I can see no valid reason why a feature like this shouldn't exist, and it does confuse me why it doesn't. This would assist Staff Members and regular players alike, and would definitely help quicken the process of a hacker being caught. As a European player, if I make reports early in the morning I occasionally find myself having to wait hours before the report is accepted, meaning the hackers can carry on for longer. +1 Have a great day.
Hey! Completely agree with your suggestion, as most hackers are familiar with staff members just to make a joke out of hacking and waste their time. I feel the ability to spectate players they are looking out for would be much more efficient then dying, then using the spectate option that all players have. I also second this, hackers continue ruining the gameplay for hours before reports are accepted, however reaching out to staff on discord has also been useful if the torment is continuous and annoying.
The ability to join on-going games will hopefully be added when the Minigames Revamp comes. This has been a long requested feature from both players and staff. We'll have to continue to be patient, though, until the revamp happens since no major updates will make their way to minigames until then.
This would be really helpful except some servers e.g Skywars, CTF and more can are only capable of holding a certain amount of players which they would have to expand and create a code which would make it so there is a reserved spot for mod. This would have to span across every single sub-server which would make it really difficult and unnecessary. The best course of action right now is to just have Nvidia Shadowplay and Manually report on the forums as you can save videos from the last minute and you dont have to record hours. A really good and smart but hard idea.
I don't see why it has taken so long. It isn't that complicated to add. Many servers, smaller and bigger than MCC have had a plugin that contains this 'Staff Mode' feature and from my experience, it isn't hard to code either. I personally think it should've been implemented earlier but the Staff Team don't care enough to push for it. I'd like to see it added soon!
The Owners generally don't inform staff members of upcoming revamps first. They find out along with the rest of the community. As for what effects it will have, I for one, hope that this ability is one that is implemented. :)
