Staff Purposely Ignoring Appeals

    Hello,

    I have come across the issue (Which is currently happening but has not happened in the past) of a staff member purposely ignoring my appeal. The reason meaning nothing to me, I want to know if this is punishable (which I doubt). There has been a staff member that has been online in the forums 10-12 times since i made an appeal and it still hasn't even been looked at. Now, yes i understand that staff members are busy and have a life as well. however, the fact that one of my friends muted by the exact same staff member was un-muted before me causes me to be a little suspicious. I am or at least try to be friendly towards staff members and am friends with a couple as well, which is another reason why i don't understand why this would happen. This is quite pointless and i really just wanted to say something about it. Thank you for reading this, and have a nice day or night.

    Hey, Akiro staff members have up to three days unless you were punished by an admin and admins have no set time limit. Overall I hope this helps and have yourself a good day or night.

    Dang, three days? That can be easily abused if you ask me. But yes, it does help so thank you for telling me that.

    hey hey! i’d like to add that sometimes staff go on forums to check something or look at posts then later take the time to go through all their appeals, since appeals really aren’t the most fun to do, especially if you were staff and had multiple players submitting appeals. it can be found easier for ‘em to do em all at once. as well as, to add onto what raptor said, the only exception of the 3 days is if an admin punishes you, you have submitted a technical appeal/staff is no longer staff anymore, or the staff is on “LOA”/an excused break.
    if you believe a staff is abusing, either by falsely punishing you or having a pending appeal over 3 days or so, you can report them on the forums (here)

    I understand how staff want to do all their appeals at once (As i have been staff on different servers) However the fact that my friend's (who appealed after me) appeal was accepted already. This seemingly proves the fact that the staff member is purposely ignoring my appeal. Which was my main point to begin with. But yes, your statement helped as well, thank you for that.

    i can’t speak for staff, but if you and your friend were punished by different staff, that may be the reason. if it was the same reason... lowkey it could have been that one appeak was more straight forward than the other and yours could have been not replied to for the staff to have a little more time to decide, or something along those lines.
    i’m not denying that some staff may purposely “ignore” or really just see the appeal and not look at it, but i mean ig really the best thing to do is to just wait. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Yeah you make a fair point (my friend was muted by the same staff btw), but the staff member hasn't even viewed the appeal itself (unless staff can view it without it tagging the appeal with views). Either way yes i will just continue to wait for it, but i'm just curious why someone would do this or if it was punishable. i already have most of my questions answered about this so thanks.

    If it's urgent you can always message another staff member and ask if they can contact the staff member that punished you or your friend. Obviously it's no guarantee that they will reply to it asap. However, it's worth a try! Besides it's a small reminder and a headsup for the staff member that punished as well that they have an appeal open.     Thanks for the suggestion (sadly discord is out my reach lol), however i can just wait. I've already asked a couple friends (staff and non staff) to contact that staff member but its not an immediate thing so i will just continue to wait it out. Again this discussion was more of to ask a few questions which have mostly been answered, so thanks for all your help. Have a nice day or night everyone.
