Every few skywars/survival games game you play, you encounter a staff, which is a very good thing because they help to ban the cheaters and exploiters. And a lot of the time you will see the message at the bottom left of your screen at the beginning of a match saying 'Staff1 has suicided' For the 'experienced MCC hackers' (who have a substantial amount of Alts and VPNs that they use to hack on) , they know that when they see this message to immediately turn off/toggle their hacks as there is someone spectating them and watching every player's every move. It is so simple to just see the message in chat and then go to 'Staff' on the forums to see which Staff position, if any, they have. I am creating this thread to add a feature that gives Helpers/Mods the ability to use the '/spectate' or '/sp' command at any stage during a Skywars or Survival games game. This will not post a message in chat and will give the ability to go straight into spectator mode. It will have the normal abilities of the spectator mode you receive upon death. I feel that many Staff members, mostly helpers and moderators, will agree with this as it helps to get rid of cheaters as swiftly and smoothly as possible. Going to be straight to the point with this idea. It’s been mentioned a ton from many current, former and possibly future staff members. The idea has been brought up multiple times and always rejected because we would need to revamp the entire plugin system, and that isn’t easy. We’d have to edit every plugin, make a new plugin that would be compatible with each and every mini game in order to allow us to spectate. Now, the permissions - knowing previous things, the command would only be released to Moderators and Above because helpers don’t have the permissions to ban, so no point in them having it (obviously I’m aware they can spectate and inform us, but if this was implemented, mods+ would only be able to access it). Besides this, I don’t like the idea of just /spectate because then some staff could abuse it and just fly to someone’s island and get out of it. Knowing the Staff Team, this would be a great idea to be released but it would take a very long time. I’ll still forward the idea to the Admin Team and see what they think about this.
Thank you, The idea was that you would not be able to exit /spectate once in it so that any abuse possible with the command could be eliminated. And, i was also wondering whether to say helpers or not because i would honestly say that 30%+ of the staff that i see suiciding at the start of mini games that are trying to spectate, are helpers (Even though i understand that they do not have permissions to ban). Also, if the staff member doesn't say anything in the chat then the cheaters will not know if there are staff members in the current game or not.
