Hey, so, I was reading the rules and I came upon screen sharing... it said something about staff having other players screenshare if something fishy might be happening, what exactly is that? How does it work?
I’m sorry if this doesn’t belong here, I just need clarification, thanks!

    Hey Alantsar_trignot,

To my understanding, the process of screensharing (in this particular context) occurs when staff suspect a player is cheating through the use of a hack client, but have not witnessed enough blatant evidence to warrant an immediate ban. Typically, if a staff member suspects a player, they might get them onto a subserver such as Arenapvp and freeze their game so that the player cannot move and request for the player to join the screenshare waiting room in the mc central screensharing discord. Once a player has done this, the staff member will then ask the player to share their screen while going through their minecraft files to verify that they are not using a hack client.

Obviously, a player will be banned if they are found to be using a hack client at any point throughout the screensharing process. However, players also may be banned for logging out while frozen, refusing to screenshare, etc.

    Hope this helped,

Wow, that’s quite a shakedown, thanks so much! I’m sorry about the random question, but I kinda don’t understand a lotta stuff as easily as most do.
    Have a great Night/Day!

No problem buddy, I have been playing on the server very inconsistently since 2013 ish, and I only found out what screensharing was in the past six months or so once I became more active, so it's totally understandable that you didn't know much about the process.

This is essentially the perfect response - if a player is suspected of using any type of unapproved client modifications (not blatant enough to ban), an external program such as an autoclicker, or macros, we freeze the player (basically preventing them from continuing any actions on the server) and they are provided with instructions to join our screenshare Discord. Once the player joins the screenshare, we run a series of processes and softwares to reveal if any rules are being broken, and if so, a punishment is issued accordingly based on this evidence.
