I think the addition of a Pot Plugin would be extremely beneficial. As most of you who play Prison know, sometimes the community will come together and create a pot of money for whoever buys the next 2x booster. It would be much more efficient and also benefit the servers income as well as the clarity of how much is actually available in the pot with a /pot command. Command examples: /pot (shows amount in the community pot) /pot add <$> (so anyone in the server can donate to the community pot /pot list (to see who has added into the pot) This plugin would auto pay whoever buys the next 2x boost the amount in the community pot. This would prevent scamming and confusion on the total amount in the pot. Since this is server specific to Prsion I did not add it to server suggestions. If it needs to be moved I will move it.
This is a great idea but they should make it all boosters not only the market booster so you have to choose which pot you would like to add your money too.
I feel like there should also be a command to take your money back out like /pot withdraw <$> so if it's just sitting there forever you can get it back
I thought about saying this but I feel there could be more ways to causes scamming or finding ways to withdraw right before. If you are willing to commit money to the community pot then you gotta be okay with never seeing that money again until someone gets a booster.
I full agree but what if there’s like a 24 hour thing before you can withdraw the money? Like once it’s in there you can’t take it down until it expires kinda like /ah works.
The above is the idea I suggested in the Prison 10 Suggestions Thread. Just looking at your idea I have a few points. As suggested by others, I believe this should be a feature for other boosters (except Charity Time) as people will gladly pay for Token and Pick Exp Booster to help get extra tokens or exp for their pickaxe. From playing for 4 seasons now and seeing chat earlier on, I believe that adding a feature similar to having a pot is needed for Prison. With the rule of IRL scamming being more punishable, in my opinion, saying you are going to give money for when someone activates a booster, then not giving it when they do, its on the fine line of this rule and adding a plugin to allow for a pot of money to be given when activated will help remove the worries people have on being scammed when activating a booster, as well as encouraging more boosters to happen if there is always an active pot of money they can get gauranteed. I also agree with _ItsAubs here in that it should be a timely addition as it would be unfair for a user to add to the pot and then the Booster to be activated when they are asleep. Instead of 24 hrs though I would suggest something like 4-6 hours to allow for a reasonable time period to be activated.
What you said here basically sums up what I was going to say. I especially agree with the second part, because if I were to throw 2mil into the pot, and have the booster activated while I was not on or asleep would really be a bummer. This is still a great idea MCPGFUN!
