As a solo island member, it takes a lot of farming to obtain enough points to upgrade my spawner limit. Last season, points were not needed and it made it more efficient to upgrade my island. I believe that having to get points is one struggle that SB players face all the time because we are always having to upgrade certain limits for our island. I agree that they are hard to get, except removing them, will just make it way more easy for people to just buy spawners and place them, with out anything blocking their way, while farming for spawners, they should get some tokens, which would help with the upgrades, except most people like to sit on their bums and not do anything and think they can win that way, that is why points were added, and for now, I do not believe that they will be taken away
I don't agree with this. The idea of points encourages people to branch out and invite people to their islands, to produce more points, and it also encourages farming, which is one of the most crucial ways to make money in Skyblock. They help beginner islands, by encouraging them to make farms to pool up points, which inevitably leads to their islands being expanded.
The point meta promotes team play, which is a nice thing. Imo points should stay, but be made around 50% easier to earn. That way, the bottleneck will still exist but it will come later in the season. Cheers
Hi! I feel the struggle for island points as a solo skyblocker but an easy way to fix it is to join a team or make one. This will make island points easier to get, another way is to just farm the thing that gives you the highest amount of points or make a movement that island points should be given a higher drop rate but not to completely discard as they do play an important role in the skyblock economy. ~HH_Captain
I agree with what Fasilisnt said, in that the point system promotes teamwork. I would rather see large teams of players grinding points to get things like more spawners than solo players stocking up on hundreds of spawners and competing for the top island. Overall, I like the new point system because of the teamwork it brings.
I agree with what sloth said. The more players playing with friends and grinding points makes the game more fun and makes it more enjoyable.
