I think the server should add a platypus pocket pal to buycraft. Make it like $5.00 because its a small texture.
hello! i like this idea. however, as sorta-mentioned, how would it be composed... for example, the stitch one is a head, lapis (item), blue wool... i doubt mcc would update/put full on 1.9+ items in since majority of the sub servers are 1.8 backended and a lot of players play in 1.8.9 by the picture you had provided, i would assume the platypus would be composed of white stained clay, heads, brown wool. maybe maybe.... overall, i -1 this idea as the shop seems to not need another pocket pal as they’re pretty useless and don’t get bought as much compared to keys and ranks n’ other cosmetics like particles or client cosmetics (i.e. labymod capes n’ blc capes) wtf? that makes no sense. ok. uwu.
I am saying if a character from an ancient movie gets representation through being a pocket pal, there is not a reason that an animal which is decently loved (&by the amount of perry the platypus skins on factions acknowledged as well) should not be on the shop, but please tell me more about how that makes no sense when there is a generic gorilla on the shop for example. Obviously the server is not going to 1.9, that was just an example model for reference, I am sure it could be made w/ pieces just as the other ones are. @puposaurus
Lol I love it mate. Good design I think this should be added as for there hasn't been new content in MCC store for 2.5 years.
The thing isn’t in where the pocketpal comes from, it is in how it is made. As puposaurus mentioned, the stitch pocketpal is made of a lapis block and blue wool. They would have to bring stuff from 1.9 to make the platypus pocketpal. And that would change the entire server, except for minigames and uhc (since pocketpals cant be activated in them). Changing the pvp style, and lots of other things just because of a cosmetic is pretty stupid, in my opinion. And pocketpals aren’t bought that often, so because of these reasons I’m a -1
Hey polarpolo, I do like the suggestion. I've seen this brought up a ton after the introduction of pocketpals. Personally - I don't think they intend on adding more pocketpals to MCC due to the fact that the previous Developer Team was disbanded (2016). However, it is always a good thought of re-introducing. I do like the idea of a platypus pocketpal. I also have a few more idea suggestions regarding pocketpals. Personal Suggestion(s): - If possible, used in a minigame, allow as extra storage! (3 slots available?) - Diverse the pocketpals. Instead of just a Platypus, add Foxes, Pandas, Bears, Frogs, etc! - Maybe add in-game items to play with your pocketpal! (ex. Feed your Pocketpal, Gain Cosmetic Keys from Pocketpals?) Though it may be tough getting a coder to get new pocketpals, I do like the idea. I will forward this idea to QA/Administration Team. - Fox
Hey Fox :) I think getting keys personally would be a bit too OP. Since each pocketpal ranges from 5$ to 15$, but even extra storage in minigames would be OP too, i personally think just as a regular pocketpal would be a great idea. But, if it did add all that stuff to the pocketpals, it would make it seem like its favorable to be a "pay to win", and right now, pocketpals dont rly do anything but act cute. Good Ideas tho, but I personally see it as an "unfair" advantage which you have to spend extra money to get. My opinion tho :) Myko :)
I fail to see how it requires 1.9 though, especially given that entities are resized / refitted for the other pals and there are some custom MCC blocks regardless of version (like the creative slab) that make this task far from impossible. As for fox's comment, this was really what I meant with my basic comment, the pocketpals are so discarded because of this mindset and I believe that that could very much change, with step one being the increase in diversification of them. This is why I am in support of any new pocket pal as long it's a constructive one (such as this platypus or the fox idea of Arctic) as it is step one to encouraging more people to buy them. I also did not factor in that the development team was who made them (this is due to me being a relatively new player so I apologize), but I believe that pocket pals are far from their true potential and it is by no means too late for them to reach it. I did not consider the in game perks (especially for minigames), but I think earning items that you can use to feed / play with them (maybe a pet level system and increasing reward tiers / frequency the more maxed your pet is?) or giving them some type of xp boost such as the one immortal has would be a great incentive for players to acquire them, and with the increasing amount of pals to choose from players will just be more encouraged to make the purchase! I appreciate you forwarding it / acknowledging that they have much more potential than is currently being recognized. I do appreciate where this is coming from, but I feel like a very fair counterargument to this is that there are currently many buffs that exist but behind a much larger paywall, while it does introduce more pay for advantage it is quite a cheap cost (much more accessible) than purchasing immortal for example. However, your point could actually be something I agree with depending on how the perks would turn out, but overall I would make the counterargument that it introduces a much more accessible advantage which is also way more affordable. At the end of the day though, given how people want all of these new designs I think you may not need any perks from them to sell, perhaps releasing a variety of animals / creatures first to test how successful they are would be a good course of action.
