Recently, i've been seeing how many pings staff members obtain on a daily basis due to hackers. I believe that if hackers would be perm banned, like in another server, hacking would be reduced to a real high level. I'm sure that out there, players decide not to play on Minecraft Central due to the enourmous amount of hackers that you can find in a game of Skywars, for example. If accounts would be banned permanently for hacking on the first shot, you would see so many less hackers in MCC. For example, public alts are mostly banned for 30 days for hacking. Well, if they were perm banned, they wouldn't come back 30 days later with another user on it. Now, if you're thinking that MCC isn't a big enough server for this to occur, well, you're right. But. I do believe that if hackers would be perm banned on the first shot, MCC could possibly benefit from this due to players now knowing that the amount of hackers was reduced lately because they all get perm banned. Let me know your thoughts below!
Hey, @ShePrecious permanent bans aren’t going to keep away hackers. If they have alts, they more than likely get on again. And, if those alts are under the same IP, they’ll get IP banned. It just gets aggravating if they have a VPN that bypasses the server’s anti-VPN. Also, people make mistakes sometimes and break the rules and I think they should have a second chance. If they do it again then that will be another story but I think the first time should be 30 days not permanently ban. However the second time they do it maybe they deserve a perm ban. Overall, those are my opinions I hope you see my point on this subject and have yourself a good day or night.
Yes they will, I used to hack on hypixel and this system did a decent job, I was able to go multiple vpns and evade their security system and had several accounts. The only way I would get a new account that was unbanned was by appealing. If MCCentral starts this system up, they may eventually be able to ban all accounts to the point where it would be difficult to find an unbanned account, this would drastically lower the hacker count and overall allow mini games to be more playable. This is proven by several servers and this would definitely help the server lower their hacker count. However, this will lead to users who are false banned to receive harsher consequences, I'm going to say the obvious right now though, the only true solution to this hacker-issue is simply buying a new anti-cheat or just developing one hand-made that can actually catch blatant hackers.
Just like others have said there’s always a way to go around perm bans it’s probably nothing new to hackers. Also, it would be much harder on the people who have gotten Falsely banned, so imagine just getting permanently falsely banned it would just cause so many more problems and more anger.
But what if a player gets false banned, then the player would be perm banned for something they haven't done. Yes its rare too see, but why a perm ban for a 1st offence. Maybe a perm ban for 2nd offence.
Hackers are always going to find a way to go around bans if they really want to. Honestly I just keep reporting any of them that I see and just hope that they get sick and tired of having their alts banned and give up.
Hey There, I personally agree with permanently banning hackers on MCC because it would be a beneficial way to prevent more hackers from coming onto the server. The only argument I see against this is that everyone deserves a second chance, hence the 30 day ban, 60 day ban and permanent ban. I think MCC could incorporate these into an appeal process. Most hackers use alts on the server so when they're banned they don't take time to actually appeal, which means that hackers who feel they "deserve" a second chance can still have the opportunity to appeal. Removing the 3 stage ban process and replacing it with an appeal process could help solve MCC's hacker situation. Along with IP bans I think this is fair because you are given 2 chances, one with your main and your alt. If you mess up and hack on both accounts and get IP banned that is your own fault and can still be appealed. I don't know if this makes sense but in my mind it does.
As someone who has been false banned before, it was resolved quite quickly. If you are ever false banned, logging onto Discord and contacting the staff member that false banned you can speed up the appeal time. For example, I was false banned for 30 days, I contacted the staff member that false banned me, and clarified with them that it was indeed false. I was unbanned in less than a day from what I remember, so yeah. Keep in mind, the staff are not perfect and they should not be held to that standard. As long as you aren't cheating, you have nothing to worry about. :)
Honestly it would be better if Mojang/Microsoft took some action against all this acccount selling/leaking and started blocking these alts. The only thing MCCentral can really do here is make a good anticheat.
In that situation, it's their word against yours. And since they're staff and well, you're not, who do you think everyone is going to believe? If they genuinely believe you were hacking or just wanted you banned for god knows why, the chances of them removing the punishment just because you asked them to is highly unlikely.
Honestly you didn't even bother to read my post... I clearly said that i "clarified with them (the staff member) that it was indeed false (the ban)" Where did you get "the chances of them removing the punishment just because you asked them to is highly unlikely" You clearly did not read what I said.
I'm pretty much 100% certain you didn't contact them about the ban solely to state it was false and not request an unban. Also how did you even "clarify" that it was false? If I get banned for hacks I'm not going to get unbanned just because I PM them and say "I wasn't hacking". That was my main point in my original reply.
Mind filling me in on what I assumed? He very clearly said he contacted them and "clarified" that it was false. If you contacted a staff member just to say they were wrong and not even try to get unbanned that goes beyond idiocy lmao.
I think the main solution to this problem would be to IP ban the hackers. Most hackers, when banned, resurrect themselves another 30 times before giving up. Temporary IP bans would defintiley be the solution, I don't think permanent bans would. I had a friend, who was very stupid back then, that decided to hack on another server and got perma-banned. That was 4 years ago. He knows how dumb it was back then today and uninstalled it, but tried joining again to remember he was still banned from 4 years ago. Point is, I think perma-bans are a bit to excessive considering the hackers could have a change of heart, and it could reduce the server's playercount at some point.
IP bans are practically useless, they serve the same purpose of a permanent ban due to how easy it is to get a free vpn. I will repeat myself once again, the only true solution to this is to either; 1. start a permanent ban system to slowly kill the hacker playerbase or 2. ACTUALLY get an anti cheat.
Hey! In opinion hackers should not be permanently banned on their first offence. I believe that they should receive a temporary ban for around 3-6 months. This is because people mature and change over time. I’m not saying that everyone would mature and change however there is some people that deserve a second chance after a long period of time after the ban. The current first offence is 30 days and I just feel like that might not be enough time for people to mature and understand that it’s more enjoyable to play the game without hacking. 6hb, Jake
Well, after 30 days for a public alt account, for example, a new person hops on the account and hacks again on the same server, MCC, for example which brings in 2 hackers per month. Now, I see almost 1 hacker per solo skywars game meaning that many players are hacking on public alts and when they're banned, they get a new one and so on and so fourth. Hypixel. They perm ban hackers instantly and they do have a better anti cheat. Therefore, I believe that before actually implementing first offense, perm banned, they should improve the anti cheat. After this, I believe they should perm ban hackers for the reasons stated above.
some people do get banned for hacks that they are not aware are against the rules so i think that perm banning them would be unfair because they didn’t think to check the rules before downloading a certain client.
