As the Skyblock2Governor announced by Cherdley i have come her among all my fellow citizens to propose this bill about Island Points. I was thinking just how you can upgrade the island token drop rate you can increase the point rate since people that play solo have a hard time getting upgrades. Make it about the same price as token upgrade or more depending on the chance of points. To counter this lower token drop rates so that farming is still a important thing in skyblock. I do agree that solo islands have a harder time getting points, but I don't think this is the way to fix it, simply because bigger islands would have too easy of a time getting points. At least with tokens, solo islands are able to buy those as well, but points aren't something that can be shared. I feel like adding something like this would help big islands get more spawners faster, which would negate the purpose of adding the points in the first place, to slow down the amount of spawners someone can get. Although, maybe having a correlation with up the upgrade and amount of island members could help this. Say a solo island could upgrade points to 100%, but an island with 8+ people could only upgrade to 10%, for example. There just needs to be a way to stop big islands from abusing this, but to me it does seem like a necessary addition to support people who go solo. I'd be interested to see other people's suggestions on how we can help solo players get more points!
Unlike most of the people above, I play on skyblock 1, but can tell it the point situation is the same. Adding an upgrade is not the solution. Personally, I think that the current point system serves it purpose, whether we like it or not, and if it were to be fixed, it would be to increase the frequency, I'll be it very slightly. But as it stands, I see little to no need for correction, Although, I wouldn't be suprised to see something like this added, nor would i be upset. Thank you for the great suggestion - Chilo
Make points 50% easier to get / buff maxed out limits for islands. (Like 5-8k spawner limit etc) Also remove that 300% EXP cap thing, nobody will ever upgrade it so high + it's super expensive for some odd reason. Thanks
how about a point luck custom enchant? that way each individual player needs to obtain it in order for it to benefit large islands.
While i have found it kinda annoying, the point system did a good job this season keeping even the top islands active and i can’t well complain with results. I think increasing point earnings would hinder that.
I don't really like points - I see big islands with 10+ members have no trouble getting points and placing thousands of spawners, early in the season. This kind of defeats the purpose of points, because they just divide the labor to their workers. Meanwhile, I have to spend 90+ minutes farming to place 20 spawners, farming the most efficient crop for points. I don't think making an island upgrade regarding points is a great idea, because once you used it, it would be easier and easier to get the next points upgrade, because you use points to buy more points. If they implemented this, it should be bought by tokens or money. Instead, maybe the amount of things upgraded by each upgrade could increase. For example, early in the season, you upgrade spawners by 20 at a time, however later on, it could move to 30, then 40. That seems justified, as it gets harder and harder to upgrade for things that you have to upgrade all the time, like spawners or hoppers. Either that, or add a custom enchant similar to token luck, but for points.
Teamplay on skyblock has to be rewarded, its not easy to get a proper team going, and im telling that from experience. Solo islands shouldnt be able to reach is top. What you suggesting is p much making the points required linear instead of exponential, which ofc will help solo islands, but will explode 10man islands as well. You will be able to hit the 4k limit in literally 2 months time on a 10man. Cheers
