Hello! This idea may seem very bold, but stick with me as I explain. Admins are usually very good with responding to appeals on time, however sometimes their appeals may take long periods of time to be dealt with. Some community members have mentioned waiting months to have an appeal reviewed by an admin, which in my opinion is quite a long time. The admins have a lot to deal with on the server, which is why I'm not suggesting we put a time limit for them to reply to appeals. A much more efficient strategy would be to make admin appeals become technical appeals after 7 days, so any senior moderator or admin can reply. Because a lot of admin appeals are regarding IP bans and hacking bans (at least in my experience), it will be easy for other staff members to update themselves on context, and appeals will also be dealt with faster. For the first 7 days, the appeal is assigned to the admin who punished the player. After this time ends, the appeal is reassigned as "technical appeal" and any senior mod or higher can access it and reply. This saves time for both admins and players punished by them, while also making sure the punishment and appeal systems move smoothly. Thank you for reading my post. As always, feedback is highly appreciated!
Hey! This is actually already in effect! A Senior Moderator is allowed to check simple admin appeals such as skins, names, chat offenses, bans/ipbans older than 6 months, etc. However, not all Admin appeals are simple cases like those. Most of the time, the admin appeals that are open for a while are complicated appeals that are either a blacklisted user association, a disruption ban, a known severe evader; in these cases, the appeals are left for admins to deal with. *What I do is PM them sometimes and ask, "Hey I see an appeal, want me to deal with it?" Some times they say "yea go for it", or "no its a complicated one so leave it for now"* (Complicated appeals are dealt with in Admin Calls)
