Hello MCC! I’m here to talk about a topic I have been thinking a lot about lately, and that is /kit shovel! Now, this idea may get thrown down within 24 hours, and that’s fine. The people I have talked to are mixed with this idea so here is my thoughts about it!! So recently I have been digging up my plots and have found that the grass gets really annoying. Usually i just go into the store buy 2 diamonds and a stick.. For me that takes forever because I have trackpad. It would be so much easier if I just had /kit shovel. Plus, a diamond shovel really doesn’t help that much, but it does speed it up. I’m not saying it even has to be a good shovel, just a decent one!! Anyway, here were my thoughts!! hi sir. i’ve seen this been suggested before and in my opinion... a “/kit shovel” is super unnecessary. all prison mines are ores/stone and wood. therefore, having a kit pickaxe and kit axe. if some poo mine with dirt and sand and gravel was added it’d be even more poo. also, shovels really aren’t that hard to create. especially since you’re a donator, you can just go to donator mine and mine a diamond block. and same for the sticks at fhe wood “mine”. not everyone mines out their plots. also, the dirt part is only something like 33x33(1089 blocks)... and the rest is all stone... if this was season1 or season2 where the plots a we’re all dirt, i would’ve +1’d this. but for the way prison is now i really don’t see a need for it this big -1 ~pup
I kinda have to go with a -1 here Like why kit shovel on prison-based game where you have to mine rather than dig? Sure digging plot but for real like puposaurus said above "you mine a bit of dirt since your plot is around 7 / 8 out of stone rather the 8/8) I would understand if the plot was 7/8 grass / dirt. Crafting a shovel and enchanting it would be one of the solutions, it's not even hard to make it just (go to mine donor or at least have 1 diamond block) and get wood to craft a shovel (easy) So why am I replying to this? (My thoughts now) Also since I am on the trackpad as well I don't own many issues as it's not as if your plot is all under grass and there's no other way to expand it by digging down, shovel in mining base gamemode is just extremely weird it would be used instead for pvp tool. Shovel usage atm is nothing, even having a shovel with efficiency 5 / unbreaking 3 is nearly same as 10k (as its not so important in the game) I am still confused at the part "where many people want this kit" as I find 0 usages at all from shovel in general at the prison, also many people prefer to dig their base 8 blocks deeper (where the stones are) and then use pickaxe to mine around, rather than digging out the whole plot. Well, this is all my opinion! (hehe) It would be cool if shovel could act like wordedit (you got here and right click with it and then there you break and your ability to mine this whole area with shovel durability) Shovel has 234 / 250 would only cut 234 rather than 250 (if this was the case then there would be point of shovel to exist) ~Cya!
I believe a kit shovel is not needed in prison. kit pickaxes is for the /warp mines and kit axe is for /warp wood. Most people also build out of wood and stone not grass and sand. I don't think this would be a good addition because it would have efficiency 10 and braking 10 ruining the economy of selling shovels on ah. Also one less use for xp. It is unfortunate you play on a track pad but still is it really that hard to buy a shovel on ah, ask in chat, or just /shop get two diamonds and a stick. -1 -xStrafings Leader of money
I feel your struggle in needing a shovel to dig up dirt within your plot, however, as puposaurus stated, its only 1 layer of grass and crafting a diamond shovel would only take about 20 seconds. Also I have done this to all 4 of my plots and total time to get rid of 4 total layers of grass was ilke 10 minutes. Also I am mainly a trackpad player when it comes to Mcc except in pvp and I dont find it a struggle to purchase items and to craft them with a trackpad. Also as a side note, I removed only 2 plots with a plain diamond shovel whilst then enchanting a shovel to eff 4 let me finish the other 2 plots in like 2-3 mins. This is a great way to help remove grass from your plot Unfortunately im a -1 here - Olli
All i've got to say is i feel it to be unnecessary due to you never really having to mine dirt sand ect... apart from where you mine the first layer of a plot. Personally I mined out all 4 of my own plots this season and getting rid of the dirt wasn't the problem and nor did it take very long to do. If there was a mine that required a shovel to mine then this would be a good thing to implement, until then it doesn't really need to be in the game in my opinion. Have a great day! :) - OwenCW
