Hello! So I'm trying to make key cards in prison by utilizing rename scrolls. Would it be possible if we can make it so we can rename paper? OR Can we add book and quills. That would be very pog.
Hello! While this would definitely be very cool to use as keycards, paper (along with other items) cannot be rename mostly because it would make it easier for players to make fake items. Even though prison allows scamming, quality of the game would go down if the server made it easy for people to make fake items (such as fake banknotes, for example). Books and quills are disabled because they can be used to duplicate chunks, along with other lagging issues. Keycard papers with colored names would be cool, although there are reasons for why rename scrolls only work on armor and tools.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem there is any way around it, as we can only rename armour and tools. If you wish to make keycards for whatever reason, you will either need to use an anvil to rename a paper, or use a tool or piece of armour for it. Unfortunately as creeper said, this will most likely not be changed as it would become MUCH easier to create fake perks and banknotes. Take Care! -Nikki
