Is it intended that you are unable to harvest melons or pumpkins using pistons on skyblock?
When pushing a piston onto melons or pumpkins, the block should be destroyed and melon slices or the pumpkin should drop. However, on this server, the piston doesn't activate at all. Can someone explain me why?

hello! this is intentional. mostly to prevent server lag n' such. 'cause if all players could make automatic farms w/ pistons skyblock would be like 1fps :floshed:.. you also cannot move sugar canes :)
the only "automatic" farms that are allowed are things like cactus farms and water dispenser ones.

Alongside these automatic piston farms being disabled, automatic farms like cactus have been severely nerfed. The server has been made to encourage manual farms, and try to push players away from using automatic ones. Your best bet for making money would be to try and get your hands on a harvest hoe. If you want to farm melons/pumpkins, get an efficiency 5 diamond axe, so they break instantly. Silk touch will also make melons break as a block instead of a random number of slices.

The information provided above by Ankh is accurate, thank you for answering the question. For some time, automatic piston farms have been disabled due to the redstone creating extensive lag issues for the subservers they were used on.
