Forum Rules Not Clear

No, it would just take 1 week. It's not that confusing (as far as I am aware.)
If you break a specific forums rule you would get a number of points for breaking it. For example, if you break "Useless Posts" you would get a warning point that would last for a week. However, if you break "Threats Towards Others" you would receive two points that would last for a week. So if you break an offense you would be carrying it for a specific amount of time. So breaking "Threats Towards Others" would lead you to carry that offense for a week. While carrying "Threats Towards Others" offense you would also be carrying the number of points that it got (which is two.) Once your offense is expired so would its points.

Now to make this less complicated imagine egg hunt. If you get a golden egg you would get 5 points, while having silver would get you 3 points. So you have 1 golden eggs and two silver (11 points in total.) The golden egg would only last 1 min with you so after 1 min it would be gone, which would make your total point now 6 (as the golden egg gave you 5 points but now it's gone.)
