There are TONS of Creative builds out there, that I personally think deserve some recognition. More people should see some of the amazing ideas the community has put out. I believe there should be some sort of vote system/shortcut to top plots. Much like in Skyblock! A quick vote on a plot and a small leaderboard or recognition. No rewards have to be given. Maybe a small signature or some notes left by visitors. Just a thought! Keep up everything you do here<3 Much love. Soup.
Hey SoupOrPower! I read your post a little bit ago and thought about it for while... To be completely honest, I agree with this idea entirely. However, I wanted to add a few things to go a little more in-depth with your idea and fully develop it to bring it to the staff's attention. For creative, I believe there should be a reason or motivation to build these massive/amazing builds people are throwing out there. I think that there should be a vote by staff, and at the end of every month a "Builder" rank is awarded to the top voted plot. For the staff judging, I think a sub-team should be created for judges. Name could be something like "Build Judges" or "Creative Voting Team." These selected judges pick the plot they think is the best between a select list of builds through process of elimination and then the rank is given to the winner. "Builder" would be a strictly-creative rank and would not carry over into other servers to avoid confusion. The reward would obviously have to be discussed by staff. I was thinking of giving free WorldEdit/Redstone to the winner, but many people already have this due to donation ranks. Maybe a Mythical Key or a Command Block for making heads. Lastly, the player awarded with "Builder" at the end of the month gets their name/head on a wall at spawn. Many sub-servers already have a "Notable Members" section (Or something similar) at spawn, and I don't see why Creative cant have one as well. I really hope this works out! I have always liked this idea: the idea that good builds should be showcased. Honestly, even rotations should be put in place to have a cycle of builds that are available for praise at spawn. At one point, this existed. If you check here on the archived site we had a system that promoted the recognition of builds. It has been some time though, since this has been in usage and I would be happy to see its return.
