Control Changes

hi seeeeeeen!!!!!!!!
i agree the “q” is too close to “w” key.
here’s some my control changes >.<
my sprint key is “q” instead of cntrl
my drop key is “p” instead of “q”
my pick blocks is “f” instead of “middle click”
n’ my optifine zoom is “r” instead of “c”

Hello!

I have changed my controls a lot since I started to care about PvP. I also bought a gaming mouse to release the pressure of my left hand. Here are some changes:

Cpas for sprinting
F for 6
C for 7
V for 8
` for 9
Mouse key 1 for 1 (but I still use 1)
Mouse key 2 for 5 (but I still use 5)
Mouse key 3 for recording
Mouse key 4 for change of camera
J or Mouse key 6 for dropping items.
R for zooming

(This might be irrelevant: I also changed the way I use my mouse. I use my middle finger to left-click and use my ring finger to right-click.)

Ctrl - For Sprinting
C - For Optifine zoom
F - For F5
Q - For Item Drop
Nothing out of the ordinary, but I wanted to compare my list to other players.

W - Forward
A - Left
D - Right
S - Backwards
Ctrl - Sprint
Q - Item Drop
F5 - Third Person View
C - Optifine Zoom

I guess that my settings are commonly used by many players as it is quite close to the default load out of controls.

 

I use pretty weird keybinds because I use my index finger for W so I use:
W: Forward
A: strafe Left
S: Backwards
D: strafe Right
Q: Sprint
TAB: Third Person
Cap-Lock: (Tab) (see player list)
R:Drop
I would not advise you to do this because I barely use the D key. But, I have played like this for the last few years and I am slowly getting better and better at it so, I guess YT works fine for me ;)

I don’t don’t use caps lock, I just hold on shift whenever I want to use any caps (even for a whole message that is caps)
It’s weird but I’m familiar with it now. I suck at pvp anyways so it doesn’t matter lol.

 

This is what I personally use, you may find something else to work better:
WASD = Moving
Q = drop, never really had issues with accidentally dropping stuff
R = toggle perspective, a quick way to see what's behind you
Left CTRL = hotbar slot 1, a quick way to switch back to sword
F = Sprint (ToggleSprint)
C = Optifine zoom, never changed it

Then I just use the scroll wheel for slots 2-9 lmao.

 

For every game I play, I have a tendency to change a lot of my controls. I lean w my side mouse button when I play R6.

Here's my MC changes

WASD - Moving
Z - Sprint (Played minecraft as a kid and still had small hands then so Z was easy to press. It's kinda difficult now lmao)
Y - Drop Item (Q was too close to W)
Q - Hotbar 1 (Sword)
Middle Mouse - Hotbar 2 (Bow)
Button 5 - Hotbar 3 (FnS)
Button 4 - Hotbar 4 (Fishing Rod)
4 - Hotbar 5 (E Pearl)
5 - Hotbar 6 (Snowball)
Left Alt - Hotbar 7 (Blocks)
F - Hotbar 8 (Water Bucket)
V - Hotbar 9 (Food)
R - Toggle Perspective
Ctrl - Zoom

 

I haven't really changed much.
Here's my controls

WASD - Move
Q - Drop item (never had problems with it)
R - Sprint (ToggleSprint)
Y - Toggle Perspective
C - Zoom
E - Inventory

I used to have CTRL as my hotbar 1 slot but now I just have my hotbar slots the normal buttons because I have a Razer Naga Chroma which has buttons on the side (works quite well actually).

 

I'm not hating on your on anything, I think you're an amazing person and you're one of my friends, but how in the world could you change the middle mouse button for block select to ~. I mean, the middle mouse button is so officiant and useful.. I absolutely love the fact it's compatible with the game in that feature, but each to their own I suppose.

I don't really change much of my controls, and if I did I have them binded via LabyMod.
So it's not really stuff that changes the way I play the game. :)
