Hi everyone! I just wanted to bring this up as I am aware I am not the only one who finds this weird. Recently, in the past month or so, I've been seeing more of my chatreports getting denied. I find this odd. A lot more of my cr's are getting denied then past. I am not sure if it is because new staff are on board and old staff left or I am simply mistakenly chatreporting wrong people, but I find this weird that some extreme obvious things are getting denied. I find it even weirder that if I report the exact same things onto the forums, they get accepted on there but not in-game. I am not accusing any staff of falsely denying chatreports for whatever the reason is, I'm just proposing what has been proposed before, an updated system were you can see who denied your chatreport and a way for them to be able to change the final result of the chatreport (denied or accepted) if indeed they falsely denied your chatreport. I'd also want to ask the staff to pay attention more to a chatreport. I know it can be hard to sometimes see the opposite end and it might take time, but quality over quantity is important. Thanks for reading :) Pistol <3
Hey! These kinds of situations cannot be resolved unless you remember the IGNs of the reported players. (If you do, feel free to PM me on Discord: xBenz#9703 and we can possibly resolve this issue) In the future, if a CR of yours gets denied, feel free to ask a staff member in the community discord about it. (We cannot specifically show you the CR but can briefly say the reason why it was denied) Discord Link: https://discord.gg/9jzwQDQ
Hey, I see what you are saying. But also there I can only imagine so many reports coming through that it’s hard to keep up with them. I think they are trying to focus on the more severe reports, rather than other offenses. But, I see what you are saying. Have a wonderful day/night. -iluvhotmoms
They have a lot of new staff members always battling for who can get the reports. It's never a question of if they can do them, it's a question of if they deal with them properly which in some cases is no. They should treat every single report with care and not single out "more important ones" as all of them are equally as important.
A classic example of this is reporting a player for spam. If you chatreport a player, the staff member handling the report will judge for "spam" based on the timestamps of the player's messages. However, on the forums the staff member will look for 3 messages sent in a single chat block as they obviously do not have access to view the timestamps. Thus, if chat is moving slowly, a player may space their messages out by a minute or two and they'll still end up "spamming" with 3 messages in one chat block. However, if you were to chatreport this, the staff would see that the player had an ample amount of time pass between their messages. Hopefully this provides some insight as to why some CRs may be denied while the same offense is accepted on the forums.
This usually happens because in order to accept reports on the forums, you need to click on the page and look at it however on chatreports, it's a lot easier, just a click of a button. Staff need to put more time and effort into chatreports to make them as accurate as possible.
I personally use the report system on the forums even for chat offences. It's definitely a little longer (as a process) but it basically guarantees a reply and at the moment I've had no issues with it.
