Hello everyone, I was learning how to bow boost in factions, when i started to fight a guy that was able to shoot roughly 3shots per second with a bow, where as i can barely shoot 1 XD if i try and spam it just restarts the drawback, i was wondering is he hacking? or is there a way where i can do that as well :)

A bow in Minecraft takes one second to fully charge. The minimum charge up time for the bow is 0.1 seconds so technically it's possible to shoot ten arrows a second - although, they won't go very far. So if this player you speak of is shooting you at a rate of 3 or more arrows per second at a medium-long range than you can probably assume that this player is using some sort of cheat. Fast bow cheats often work by skipping the drawback animation so if a player's bow doesn't appear to be drawing back but still firing consistent medium-long range shots then that's also an indication of cheats. Please keep in mind that some experienced players know the bow very well and can minimise the drawback time by working with shooting angles and other factors so don't be too quick to call someone out for using bow cheats. Spotting someone using fast bow cheats is usually very obvious but always be 100% sure before you make a report or call them out for hacking! Furthermore, if you're still not sure, try recording the player and asking a staff member to review the footage as they will be able to give you a final answer.
I think he is saying about the punch bow not the normal and i dont know u know the punch bows use to make knockback ur self! and you don't need to hold a second just a click on your mouse is enough!
Ah, after re-reading the post it does appear that he is talking about bow boosting. My point still stands though, that it only takes 0.1 seconds to fire a shot which is enough to hit yourself with to launch forward. As a correction to my original post, this player is most likely not cheating because you barely have to draw your bow back in order to hit yourself with it so it is more than possible to shoot three arrows in a second while boosting yourself. It takes a short second to bow boost which is what I think you're talking about but not sure. You don't need full powered shots to bow boost only the smallest pull.
