IRL scamming is one of the most avoidable scams on the server. Yet it happens all the time! Everyone says "use a staff as a middleman!" That works - for rank upgrades/keys only. Nowadays, many people trade IGM for buycraft cards, and some people send fake/empty codes to scam. This isn't just a stupid sign scam where someone loses 100k, this is a lot of money and time people are losing. I think that basic scamming should be allowed, but IRL scamming definitely should not. EDIT: While very avoidable, it sucks when it happens. Especially when you paid IRL money for someone else's rank/key only to not get anything in return.
I also agree that IRL scamming on prison is easily avoidable, but also easy to do. It's hard to see who is legitimate or not. For many years I thought this was illegal in the United States until now. I just wish it was against the rules since nobody's gonna sue over 5 USD. However, it seems fair to ban over 5 USD.
This is why we wont make it bannable. It is very easy to confirm where the email is coming from. Number one rule on the internet is don't trust strangers. It is too much of a hassle and not really a possibility for staff members to punish for this. Do note if someone trys to IRL scam on a server other then Factions and prisons and they use a staff member to middle man. The staff can ban the scammer for wasting staff's time.
