This post is mainly for staff, Making this as I made a ban appeal little under a week ago about getting scammed over $25 gc I brought the gift card and then He didn’t hold up the other end of his deal, anyway once this got accepted I was expecting some sort of refund or a gift card back as I just have $25 floating around in a banned players pocket….. so not 100% sure how I’ll get this gift card but I’d like some sort of response? Unfortunately, even if the player did get banned, you will most likely not get a refund back as it is not a very usual thing to happen considering that once you agree to make a deal such as the one you mentioned above, it is kind of 'your own responsibility', especially when not witnessed by a staff member. Scamming is illegal in the real world. You can say this was pretty much a fraud, which i find ironic how the guy can just keep the 25$ giftcard and be banned for somewhat days. Not only is this "crime" allowed, but nothing would be even done if the user is caught. A several-day ban from a minecraft server does not justify how real money was stolen. I think gift card scammers should be permbanned. Just because you agreed to pay 10,000$ for a car doesn't mean you can get scammed and be told. "Well, it was your responsibility to deal with it."
Hi there! So unfortunately, we can't really give you back the giftcard at this time. I do agree it is a policy we should have looked at and perhaps updated, but that's just the way things work right now.
