I recently noticed that there was no official forum thread that displayed any and all rejection reasons for Helper Applications. This thread will help you know what you may get rejected for your future applications! ☁ Helper Application ☁ Prev Staff Application ☁ Guide to Helper ☁ Common Rejection Reasons: » Requirements not met; You do not meet one or more of the Helper Application Requirements. You can view any and all Helper Requirements here. » Below Age Requirement; The current requirement is 14 years of age. If you're rejected, you either applied 13 or under. You'll need to wait longer to apply or there may be an acceptation if your application shows maturity. » Not Enough Detail; Your application did not have enough detail, whether it be on 1 or more questions. In order to improve this, you need to work more hard on certain questions that weren't as detailed as others. Normally the suggested amount of detail contained in an application needs to be 1-2 paragraphs per question. » Inactivity; This means you weren't active in-game, on discord or on the forums. Normally, you can easily improve this by taking the time to be in-game on all sub-servers apart from one specific sub-server. On the forums, a few posts or reports daily/bi-daily and talking in the community discord (#support mainly). » Immaturity; Immaturity can be seen throughout the server, whether it be in-game, forums, or discord. If you were denied for this, you need to improve your attitude in the community. Show some respect, write properly and most of all, act smart in times of crisis. » Drama Involvement; If you've been involved in drama, you may need to step back from the community for a bit. Being involved in drama usually takes 1-3 months to subside before re-submitting a Helper Application. Common things that can result in drama are: Arguments about punishments, staff promotions/demotions, etc. » Purposely Afking Minutes; You're allowed to Afk, unless it's for no reason, especially when applying for Helper. If you're caught by an Applications Team/Administrator, you may be instantly denied if you have a pending application or plan on applying in the future. Do not afk minutes as this ruins not only your application chances but it also messes up with your consistency of activity throughout the server, making it harder for the Applications Members to figure out how active you truly are amongst the server. » Breaking Server Rules; If you've broken a server rule during your application being pending, you should expect a denial. When you break a server rule, you're supposed to wait a certain amount of time (warnings aren't counted unless it's a lot). You want to look at your punishments whilst your application is pending review so breaking rules doesn't make you look at your most professional. » Applying too Early with Punishments; If you've received punishments in the past, prior to submitting your application, always double check that you've waited the amount of time that is required for certain punishments. You can view said time lengths on this thread. Uncommon Rejection Reasons: » Administrators Decision; This does not involve the Applications Team, however, the Administration Team. Either you acted very inappropriately prior to your departure from the Staff Team or generally as a community member. You will not be able to know if your application is under Administrator Review unless you've acted inappropriately prior to submitting your application. » Poor Interview; You passed the Applications Stage, however, you failed the Interview Stage of the Applications Process. This was because you were either; Not confident, Answering Many Questions Wrong or didn't take the Interview. » Previously Blacklisted User; If you've never been blacklisted on MCC, you don't need to worry about this punishment. However, if you have previously been blacklisted on MCC, the policy is that you're not allowed to apply for staff. Back in 2016-17, appealing blacklists were removed and if you appealed it before the removal, you're not allowed to apply for Staff. This will result in an instant rejection from becoming a Staff Member. Hopefully this helps you all when applying for helper, make sure to avoid these troubles otherwise you may be denied for some of the above reasons. As stated in Jon's Guide to Helper, never be afraid to ask an Applications Team Member on what to improve on, or if it's right to submit an application at that time. Otherwise, this is it! I wish you the best of luck on your application and interview! ♔
