Hello all, Although I haven't needed to appeal a punishment on the new website myself, I think many members of the staff team would appreciate a notice when an appeal is submitted saying "Only the staff member who punished you is able to look at your appeal" This would do so many favours to the staff, and will prevent players from pinging the whole staff team in the discord saying "someone please check my appeal" which I personally have seen happen multiple times before in #support. Thanks, Nikki <3
What a thoughtful idea! I’m sure that the staff team would appreciate that and not to mention the countless messages it’ll save them to be doing more productive things! :)
Hello! Even though it's not a reallly big deal, I don't see why it couldn't be added. :) It could just be added to the Guidelines made by Markey, so it'd be just one more information. Also, something else could be added regarding about Technical Appeals, just like an addition to your suggestion, explaining that if the Staff Member that punished you is no longer on the Staff Team, a Senior Mod or higher will deal with your appeal. So that way people wouldn't be confused, as I have seen people asking how those appeals are dealt since who issued the punishment is not able to deal with it. I love your suggestion, totally a +1, Thank you for reading this and have an amazing rest of your day. :)
Hey, I honestly love this idea! This would help with the on going nagging of the appeals! I love the idea for it could give them a lot more time on other things. I agree with all of this! Although it isn't a big problem, it could reduce the amount of pings in the actual discord server, and it could reduce members asking to check their appeals. Have a nice day! -FourNut
hey this is already a thing.... kieren is an amazing human as far as tue “only the staff member who punished you can see the appeal” thing or whatever you said. i can see both sides i personally don’t mind since sometiems it’s nice to have staff see your side or for them to learn more if a punishment is legit false, but also i can see the toxic, drama-starting side where there are nosy staff talking shit about the person who appealed and so on and so forth i digress have a nice day niki
In the Appeal Guidelines, the first paragraph states that your appeal is up to the discretion of the staff member that punished you and explains how Technical Appeals work as well. This information is already provided, and I feel that the people who ignore the Appeal Guidelines are the same that will use Discord to ping staff members about their appeal.
