I know that MCC has their own Anti-cheat but doesn't work very well. I know that staff members try their hardest to make the server a non-hacking server but people just keep coming. I really feel like the Anti-cheat hasn't changed since it was added. I think that the MCC server needs a better Anti-cheat soon.
Yeah I see what you're saying. Like you said earlier, staff members are always working very hard to deal with the hackers and such. The thing is when they ban a player, its very likely that the player will just come back on a different account which leads to a lot of reoccurring hackers. Although this can be frustrating all we can do is report them on the forums to help out until a new anti-cheat is implemented.
Yeah this topic has been brought up alot all we can do is report players and ask staff to ban them. Me personally what I do to deal with hackers and kill them on Skywars is i will go into a cave so then they can't combo you etc. So if you have better gear then you win it works 50% of the time better then nothing i guess. How ever this topic has been brought up they are hopefully working on it.
Hi! This topic is very popular in the forums and many people complain about this but there are different ways including reporting the person on the forums and showing video evidence or going to #support in the mccentral discord and telling a staff member to ban the person. Also just like Minninq said if they are disrupting your game like in skywars find a way do their hacks don’t give themselves an advantage and or report them on the forums or tell a staff member to ban them. Hope this helps ~HH_Captain
The anti-cheat has changed slightly overtime, but it's difficult to make changes to a pre-existing anti-cheat that doesn't function well. I don't think the current anti-cheat (NCP) is getting any major updates since it's not really functioning as an anti-cheat but rather a notifier to Moderators that are online; NCP sends out alerts of users suspected for hacking, and that is typically how, on sub-servers other than ArenaPvP which uses AAC, staff find hackers other than players requesting a player to be spectated. For mini-games, I'm not sure what specific anti-cheat is used, but hackers do sometimes get kicked, although it's not as effective as an anti-cheat could be. Currently an anti-cheat is being developed and is supposed to launch during the long-awaited mini-games revamp. No I don't know a set date for this, but I guarantee you that, unless the project was abandoned, it should come out this year most likely around summer time. Until then as many people have said, the best thing to do is report players or simply request staff to spectate hackers through #support in the MCCentral Discord. Typically I leave a game that has hackers and join another in hopes of finding a game with no hackers, so you could try this if you haven't since it does help sometimes.
I couldn't agree more but the whole process of updating and amending is very costly. As said above, notifying moderators is must more effective and would be a lot more efficient that outright banning players due to complications that can occur with various anti-cheats.
Well heres the good thing. we can always get recording software and report it to staff using that. i would reccomend medal. its super easy to install and all you have to do is click f8 and it records the last 15 seconds of gameplay. its a great tool for catching and reporting hackers
The anti-cheat may not be the best, but the reporting system is. If you use the right recording software, you only need just a few seconds of a cheater hacking, and one you report it, they are banned in just a matter of hours.
It works quiet well against the crappier Hacked Clients, just not so good with the more advanced ones which are usually premium.
I truly believe that eventually MCC will have a good enough AC to where the amount of hackers we have will go down a lot, The AC isn't what we just solo depend on since we depend on staff as well.
