Couldn't have said it better myself. I understand we want to see a new anti-cheat but there's nothing more that we can do except making our word known. The server is obviously aware of the server's anti-cheat issues and I am unaware if they plan to announce anything on this anytime soon but I wish they would as this as been an on-going problem for quite some time now. The more we talk about it on forums the more Alex will see the complaints, the more Alex sees the complains the more likely chance we're to see a change. Thank you for making another post/suggestion involving the anti-cheat, who knows it might be working. I know Alex responds to Bug Reports quite frequently but I personally haven't seen him respond in regards to an anti-cheat report, which is odd. Hopefully we will see something in regards to this soon.
Im not getting mods to minus out the anticheat, i should be able to run regular 1.8.9 forge without a prob, its the anticheat.
The “priorities” i meant are dealing with bugs that usually happen on minigames and:or on subservers, such as the bug where players would join ongoing minigame matches or the massive sky block loss.
Spoiler: memz Pretty much all MCC Staff have been avoiding questions on the anticheat for years now, nothing has changed. Guessing it has to do with the fact that staff can get demoted for bad-mouthing the server. Of course not the owners, but they don't like getting involved in that drama either.
That is true, but I don't think that was the main topic for this post. They meant more of the physical hacks, like AntiKB, KillAura and BHop, where players are literally running circles around you. Though effective measures could also be taken against render-related hacks, such as chests only appearing once you are within ~15 blocks, and ores only appearing once you actually uncover them (would appear as stone until a block next to it is mined). Hypixel also has something like this where you can't see player nametags unless the player is close to you & they are visible to the naked eye (can't see their nametag through walls). Could possibly implement something like this to avoid PlayerESP as well.
Which one is worse, hacker w/ 30 blocks killaura around you, or one that seems pro and legit but is hacking w/ some reach or some low killaura, keep in mind the render hacks too
KillAura is like a force field around the player, when you get close enough to them they'll start automatically hitting you, without even clicking. That's what most people are referring to when they say "reach" as well. Id say the hacker with 30 block killaura is worse, if someone is closet hacking with low killaura then at least you still have a chance of killing them lol.
Honestly, I'm surprised a network like MCCentral is using a public anticheat and not a custom one. That being said, there are far more reliable anticheats that are well-known within the Spigot community such as Spartan anticheat that receives regular and more reliable updates. Considering the amount of cheaters on the network, I'd think this would be one of the top priorities for the network as large as this. Or at the very least, hire a qualified individual to write a custom configuration for AAC to improve the current state. Celebrimbor, a well-respected and known individual on Spigot forums has made a few custom variations for AAC that is regularly updated.

Huh, so there ARE people who think the same. Literally what I do is go to MCC every month or so, and ask one of the staff members "is the anticheat still bad" in DM's. Most answer "yeah". From what I can see, MCC is using Advanced Anti Cheat (AAC) along with the "Optimized AAC Setup" config package, as described in the Spigot forum post This only confirms that they did care about the anti cheat. However, there is absolutely no way that they could've bought this service, and get a very bad anti cheat. They either don't update the anti cheat, which mind you is COMPLETELY free, or costs 20GBP, which is absolutely nothing, or they stopped caring.
I might post another thread addressing the issue with more facts. Might get more attention, because I seriously am livid about these hackers in every skywars game.
