Advertise Event Option (Solutions for Competitions, Roleplays, and Other Spam) Hello! So I recently have some problems with spam because I have a skin competition and I like to do these competitions, but I've seen a lot of people having spam mute (Like me) only for wanting people to come to their competition, shop, roleplay or even to their plot to help. So I want to think in an alternative solution to this problem so like these people do not have to spam in local chat and staff stop putting spam mutes or warnings (Only in creative in this case). o--------------------------------------o I think in a special option in chat, that is the "Advertise Option". This option let you send a pre-written message from staff to the chat, for advertising your competition, roleplay, shop, etc.... So like that people can come, and instead of TPA, the message can tp other players only clicking your message. I think to put it like a menu option (Like the friend list, or the "Buy a rank" message. So I will put an example of the menu I talk about. [Rockie] CoolGuy765: Just telling jokes here o--------------------------------------o And these can be some commands for the advertizes on chat: (Italic text will be command and the text next to it will be the explanation) /advertisemenu (This is a command that activates the advertize menu) /advertisemessage (This is for putting a personalized menu to your advertize) (If you don't activate the /advertizemenu command it would not work.) /advertiselist [Category] [Number] (For seeing all the advertizes the server in creative have) /advertiseoff (For blocking all advertizes to appear in local chat) /advertiseon (For unblocking all advertizes to appear in local chat) /reportadvertise [User] [Reason] (For reporting an inappropriate advertise extra message to the staff) /advertisetime (Check the time your advertize still available in advertize list) /deleteadvertise (For deleting the advertize you made) o--------------------------------------o Now some details from the advertize: 1. When you click on the username that appears in an advertisement, I am thinking you can teleport to the user that is advertising the product, and when you click the username, this square can appear in the chat) -------- Accept Teleport -------- Are you sure you want to teleport this user? [Yes] [No] --------------------------------------- 2. If you publish an advertisement, you can't publish another one at that time. 3. When the time of your advertisement ends, the advertisement will disappear from the advertise list. 4. When the time of your advertisement ends or when you delete your advertisement (This mean your advertisement disappears from the advertise list), you can't publish another advertise until you let pass 5 minutes (This will be called advertise time). 5. Some reasons for punishments for inappropriate advertising can be: Excessive Use of CAPS/Unicode, Character Spam, Abuse of Another User/Disrespect, Fake Messages, Discussing Unapproved Deals, Unrelated Links, Staff Trolling, Impersonating Staff Members, Excessive Inappropriate Language, Bypassing Chat Filter, Encouraging Spam, Inappropriate Links, Racial/Religious/Political Disputes, Racial Slurs/Discrimination, Explicit Conversation, Death Threats / Encouraging Suicide / Encouraging Self-Harm, Advertising (The other type, the advertize of other links and games not in MC Central), Phishing, Leaking Personal Information. 6. This idea tries to end the common situations of spam that are advertizing your event in MC Central (Another event out MC Central is incorrect, remember that) like roleplays, competitions, shops, parkours, mazes, help messages, etc... Also for doing more comfortable to read messages in local chat, because seeing advertises in local chat, in my opinion, is so bothering, but I comprehend now why they do that. Also for getting clear the term "Spam", because, with this option, users don't need to spam again, they just put in the advertize list their "Event" and that's all :D. Now spamming in local chat is incorrect. 7. Some error messages can be the following ones: For /advertisemenu 1. When your advertise still in advertise list or you haven't wait the advertise time --------- Advertise Error --------- Sorry, you have to wait to publish another advertise in advertise list ---------------------------------------- /advertisemessage 2. When you use it when you haven't still use the command /advertisemenu --------- Advertise Error --------- You can't use this command because you aren't creating an advertise ---------------------------------------- /advertiselist [Category] [Number] 3. When you put an invalid category --------- Advertise Error --------- Sorry, the category you are searching doesn't exist ---------------------------------------- 4. When player fill option get the maximum amount of player (Or get to (1/1) (2/2) (3/3) (4/4) (5/5) (6/6) (7/7) (8/8) (9/9), it automatically disappears from Advertise List. 12. When a player teleport to the user advertising by clicking his/her username in the advertise, they can't teleport again to the user by clicking the user in the advertise. Only you can advertize once per advertize o--------------------------------------o Well, I know it's a little large, but I like the idea and I want to share it with you guys for creative servers.
