I think having the block count added to the scoreboard would be of great assistance to players. The same way you current balance and the cost of the next upgrade is already on the scoreboard. I believe because your block count is required to prestige it would make sense to include those figures as well. Giving players the ability to just glance at their progress.
I see what your saying but there is already a way to look at your block count all you have to do is /stats. Although it could be a good idea to put it on the scoreboard so its faster, there is just not a need for this and it would be more of an accessory add-on. This could be a cool add on and I like the idea making it easier to see when you can prestige, I just don't think this is necessary.
The same thing could be said about your current balance or the next rank up. Of course, it isn't required, but it is definitely nice to have. And because those are listed on the scoreboard already, I don't see the harm in adding the block count as well.
Hey OstrichMann, I totally agreeing with you about the block count should be on the scoreboard. The reason for this is because I am tired of doing the /stats command every time. The number of blocks on the scoreboard should update when you stop mining so it will not create lag for players. It will not be a problem for me and who else has a gaming computer have it update every block you mine; for players with regular computers or laptops it will be better if the blocks mined on the scoreboard update when you stop mining to prevent lag. I would definitely like this to happen to help knowing how close you are from having a certain amount of blocks mine for prestige requirements. Overall it is a +1 for me for the block count on the scoreboard idea and have a good day or night.
