Hey folks! I’m not sure if a post about this has every been made, but with reset not too far around the corner, I feel that making a post now wouldn’t hurt. As most players may know, there is quests in skyblock and survival subserevrs. Along with those subserves, i think having quests in prison would be a nice addition. If daily, weekly, and monthly quests were added into prison like skyblock and survival, (1) not all the quests would be the same as ‘em and (2) quest rewards would stay at the same prices as survival and skyblock — daily:2k/weekly:15k/monthly:40k. what i mean by the quests wouldn’t be the same as the ones on skyblock and survival is that, quests that involve placing blocks and most that involve breaking blocks.. also, eating food (apart from gapples) and fishing wouldn’t be included. i think quests that already exist like “consume x amount of gapples” could be considered prison-like and could be in prison quests.. (as i mention a few times in the examples) below are some example quests for prison with a ‘lil description - daily kill 5 players in pvp — player would have to get 5 kills w/i the time left for quests.. i feel this one can be easy for all players since there’s usually a good amount of rookies who jump in naked and with kit pickaxe you can kill ‘em in 3 hits. destroy 250 stone — player would have to mine 250 stone blocks in either plots or mines collect 25 exp lvls — player could farm at an xp farm or just vote enchant 5 diamond helmets — unlike survival and skyblock where enchanting multiple pieces of armor is looked down upon, prison it can easily be sold for at least $200 no matter what the enchantment it. weekly enchant 14 diamond leggings — n/a consume 20 gapples — player eats 20 gaps // to keep the pvp vibe go’n in pvp, i don’t see this quest being hard at all. kill 37 players in pvp — mentioned above destroy 1,350 stone — mentioned above monthly destroy 450 iron ore — players mine 450 iron ore blocks which can be easily obtained by rank e rankup up one rank — player ranks up from their current rank to whatever rank is after that break 3 pickaxes — player uses pickaxe so much that it breaks times 3. i think this could encourage mining more in prison collect 20 prison tokens — player must mine to get prison tokens. - more details about this one listed near the bottom (flaws section) *note: i kept the “destroy <block>” quest only stone for weekly and daily quests since almost mines have stone, and for new players who are just starting out have a chance to at least get one quest done with. I changed it for monthly since it gives enough time for a player who’d dedicated/tryharding the quests to get to the certain mine. I think that if there’d be any quests that involve the mines, rank ‘I’ should be the highest that’s considered since rankup costs are still fairly low and the end of cobblestone was just one rank ago. also, a mix of getting the quests with something like “/kit” or “/vote”, and also a ‘lil work and effort like killing other players in pvp and mining x amount of blocks would be in play so that w ay it’s not just one.. rewards: *i kept ‘em same as survival and skyblock because they seem like FAIR prices/rewards that fit PRISON.. although, i really don’t think those prices/rewards fit skyblock n’ survival.. but that’s something different, and doesn’t really relate to this post ~other notes about certain quests i listed near the bottom of this thread. some bonus about implementing this into prison: ** another source of money is added to prison ** it can encourage the mines to be used more ** can also encourage more rookies to go into pvp.. and not just donator’s rookie alts(*cough prison2 couGH*) now ik y’all who disagree are gonna list some flaws about this, here are some i thought of before y’all call me out for being a dummy: ** i know with survival and skyblock some points of the quest is being able to collect the resources without it seeming like a p2w situation.. however, that is why i suggested different types of quests that didn’t involve crafting with items players can easily get form /shop. Also, I tried to suggest quests that wouldn’t steer prison to something like survival with just collecting resources n’ such. ** there’s only so many quests that can be given ’til it starts getting super repetitive ** players can just use alts to do the easy quests then ./pay them the reward.. but this is same for survival and skyblock. so… ** for the raknup monthly quest, it’d be difficult for the higher prestige players; however, i think if they really wanted to complete it, a months time would be enough.. especially since high prestige players should have spawners by that point and would make like 100k/hour at minimum. ** for the collecting prison tokens quest, i know this one someone could just take tokens they already own and just throw them; however, i tested this from one of the survival quests and that doesn’t work. also, i know this can be hard to code in a way, but if it works the same as survival’s current *collect x amount of diamonds[/i] i don’t think it’d be too different. Hello! I love your idea and I appreciate you going into detail to paint a better picture of what you’re envisioning. I could definitely see quests being added to prison but I agree that it could get repetitive over time since there’s not a TON of things that could really fit into the theme. I could see buying a spawner being an achievement since spawners are still somewhat part of the economy and you need to collect tokens AND money in order to buy it. It would be cool to see a reward for that and a lot of other things too. I hope to see more feedback and ideas on this as I think this is something that could be implemented into prison. Heyo! When Survival first reset and I was enjoying the season, I was loving the quests and challenging myself to be on the top 10 quest board. I think adding quests into Prison would be a great idea, it would add onto the gameplay and just give players more stuff to do besides mine, afk and pvp. I also agree with the possible quests that can be added if Prison Quests were to be a thing. Another possible quest would like mine _ amount of Diamond Blocks, since I believe that would be a good challenge for a weekly or monthly quest. Good post/idea c: +1 Have a great day/night! <3 - mem
I also think quests are a great idea! It gives more of a reason to log on every day to do your daily quest and get a small reward. If they did implement quests to prisons then I would say that they would probably be more prison-based challenges like, for example, they will all be based on destroying certain amounts of stone/ores/blocks of ores in the mines. As others have said befor me I think it would be a wonderful idea to add quest points into prisons. It will be a non p2w way to make money. Survival and SB already have quests so I don't see an issue with prisons adding it. I do however think that the rewards should be of a decent amount of money for even the daily quests. -xStrafinqs_
From what i saw quests would be a nice addition how ever it would have to be updated on the amount of money you get because money is so easy to get in prison 40k for a monthly quest is really bad. I think 500k would be a good price for monthly quests and then weekly quests should be 200k and daily should be 100k. I think it would really help out rookies get money right now if you mine one inventory is 70k at the warp x and higher.
i think if this was implemented and reward prices don’t be the same as they are now (2k/15k/40k) i think alternative reward prices could be- daily = 10k; weekly = 25k; monthly = 70k my reasoning for keeping the rewards low is just so the quests don’t overpower the economy... at least for rookies. i know for survival, it’s super easy to get a good deal of money just from quests no spawners involved. some of the quests aren’t too hard to get and i just want to prevent rookies getting rich just from quests... if that makes sense. bottom line is i just kinda like the reward prices to be on the lower side
Love the idea and the quests but think there shouldnt be monthly, seasons only last like 9 months at most, daily and weeklys are cool tho +1
