After almost a year, the time has come to massively overhaul our KitPvP server. It was clear that many vital changes were needed in terms of content and balancing. This reset will be redesigning our KitPvP server in many major ways, providing a more modern and playable experience for both donators and rookies. This changelog will detail all changes big and small for our upcoming KitPvP Reset which will be dropping this upcoming Saturday 26th February. Spoiler: Upcoming Changes Upcoming Changes - Brand new event (Brackets Tournament) - Mob Madness has been removed (replaced with the above event) - Voting has been overhauled (Voting Villager providing better rewards than ever before) - Upon killing a player with a large bounty, it will now print a message in chat - Players are now able to create multiple banknotes at the same time - Small tweaks have been made to the map 'Desert Canyon' - Kit Potions cooldown has been changed from 5 minutes to 3 minutes - The cost of Splash Health Potions in the shop has been reduced from $3 to $1 - All players can now use the command /disposal to quickly get rid of items - Fixed a bug where staff could accidentally capture the KOTH whilst in staffmode - Brand new Clan Permission allowing clans to enable 'Friendly Fire' if they want to - New holograms added to spawn displaying the top 10 players for both kills and events - Massive skin statue added to spawn showcasing the winner of the latest event - The legacy 'Donator Board' at spawn has been remade from the ground up with a modern NPC design - All players are now able to use the '/repair' commands completely free of charge - Brand new kit has been added '/kit hps' accessible to all players (36 health potions) - Fixed a bug where pressure plates around some of the maps would not open Iron Doors - Upon dying and respawning, you will now spawn at the map-spawn so players can jump straight back in! - Anticheat has been completely swapped out for a modern alternative - Battlepass has been added which all players can progress through to unlock rewards - Emotes have been added (Unlocked through the battlepass) - Rank Symbols have been added (Unlocked through the battlepass) - Players can now earn more money for every kill (Unlocked through the battlepass) - All of the kits have been massively overhauled (Rookies can now play and enjoy the gamemode) - Boosters have made a return! Charity Time and Enhanced PvP Rank Symbols Rank symbols are a way to further customize your appearance on KitPvP. These newly added symbols are unlocked by progressing through the newly added battlepass. There are 45 different symbols for players to choose from. Upon selecting one of the rank symbols, this will be displayed in the tablist, scoreboard and chat for all other players to see! Brackets Tournament The community made it very clear that Mob Madness was not the most liked event on KitPvP. Understandably, killing mobs which got in the way of the PvP wasn't the most enjoyable experience. This upcoming season, Mob Madness has been removed and replaced with a brand new tournament style event. Brackets will consist of 1v1 duels in a tournament style structure, until there is 1 player remaining who will be deemed the winner! Balancing Changes It was no secret that KitPvP needed some vital changes to move forwards. The gamemode was stuck in the past, and was an unplayable experience for Rookies. This upcoming season, KitPvP has undergone some major changes to all of the kits and paid donator perks. All donators will now have access to 1 kit (Kit Premium). Kit Rookie has been drastically buffed so that it can now fairly compete with Kit Premium. Alongside these kit changes, all players will now have access to the repair commands (free of charge)! By utilising the newly added Voting Villager, Rookies are now also able to receive Protection 3 diamond armor along with God Apples. KitPvP Battlepass The battlepass is a new feature which is accessible to all players. The battlepass can be viewed ingame by using the command /battlepass. The purpose of the pass is to allow players to progress through 50 tiers of rewards whilst unlocking awesome rewards. These rewards include Emotes, Rank Symbols and additional money for every player killed. Player Recognition This upcoming season of KitPvP, players will find a brand new layout to our spawn. This new layout includes many additional elements, such as recognition for the top players. Located at spawn will be 2 holograms displaying the top 30 players (for both Events Won and Players Killed). Also located at spawn will be a mega-statue showcasing the skin of the most recent event winner! After putting in all that effort of grinding, a bit of recognition is always appreciated! Boosters After many years, Boosters are making a return to KitPvP! This upcoming season, there will be 2 available boosters for players to purchase: Charity Time & Enhanced PvP. Charity time will reward all online players $10 every 3 minutes (for a total of 30 minutes). Enhanced PvP will reward all players 3x as much money for kills whilst also rewarding players with 2x progression speed for their Battlepass. Emotes Expressing emotions on a block game is very difficult. When having a static face, it is no easy task to show your feelings! Emotes are here to save the day. With 27 different emotes to choose from, players are now able to express many different types of emotions through fancy modern animations. Emotes can be unlocked through the newly added Battlepass (there are 27 different emotes to unlock and choose from)! Miscellaneous Changes As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community!
