    Factions Season 28.0
This upcoming Friday (23rd October 3pm MST) our Factions season 28.0 will be launching. This upcoming season of Factions is a content-season (meaning we add as much content as possible which we have been working on over the past few weeks). For a live countdown till reset time, please refer to the following page Here. This changelog will detail all changes big and small which players can expect to see in the upcoming reset! Enjoy.

    Major Content Changes
    - Custom raid timer plugin has been implemented (detailed information below)
    - Server-side limitation on cannon speed (fortified chunks) have been implemented
    - Brand new wand is being implemented 'Sand Wands' (Destroy the sand column that you hit with the wand)
    - Sugar Cane Economy (We heard the feedback, Sugar Cane is back in action)
    - Spawner economy revamped (No more stupidly cheap spawners which players would flood in their bases)
    - All players now have access to /repair command (Command usage will cost for players below Bedrock)
    - Shards in the Outpost will now go directly into your inventory rather than dropping on the ground
    - Kit Raid will now come with 3 Throwable Creeper Eggs
    - /Back inside enemy territory will now expire after 5 minutes
    - Blast radius of tray pickaxes has been increased (this has been made possible due to our recent optimisations to water)
    - Print speed of sandbots has been increased
    - All players will now have access to the '/tps' command
    - Obsidian, Slime Blocks and Cobblestone will no longer get sucked into hoppers
    - Health has now been added above all players usernames (was previously only visible with a client mod)
    - Strength and speed potions are now 4:00 minutes long opposed to 1:30
    - New spawner 'Guardian' that is only obtainable as a crate reward (slightly better than Villagers)
    - Claims being raided will display raid information on f map when hovered over.

    Miscellaneous Changes / Fixes
    - Repair sign at spawn has been changed from $75,000 to $5,000 (it is now in sync with /repair command for rookies)
    - Players are no longer able to open dispensers inside the Warzone
    - Block physics has been disabled inside the Warzone (this prevents a few issues where some items can pop off the ground)
    - Staff Mode plugin has been updated to the latest version (Fixes a bug where night vision sometimes would not get removed)
    - FastPot plugin has now been removed
    - Fixed a bug where it was possible to extinguish fire in some of the protected regions on the server
    - Mobs will no longer track staff members whom are in Staff Mode
    - Fixed a load of quirky issues with the /hat command (would remove custom enchantment effects, etc)
    - Shop has been overhauled with a new layout structure to look more modern / organised
    - Fixed a bug with our Custom Enchantments plugin where it was possible to get the enchant without equipping the armor
    - More verbose logging has been added on the backend when a Faction changes their tag

    Raid Timer / Raid Logs
The largest piece of content this upcoming season is our Raid Timer and Fortified Chunk system. The raid timer is a much more official way for the server to handle raids. Upon a Faction firing a cannon into an opposing Factions 'Base Chunks' the raid timer will begin. The server will auto alert faction members when a raid has started. Whilst the Raid Timer is active, this will put limitations on the Defending faction to prevent them from breaking a handful of server rules which have been very problematic in the past. Currently the following restrictions apply to the defending Faction:

    - They will be unable to disband their Faction
    - They will be unable to use genbuckets inside their base chunks
    - They will be unable to unclaim their base chunks (they will also be unable to /f unclaimall)
    - They will be unable to place TNT inside their base chunks
    - They will be unable to use Creeper Eggs inside their base chunks (only the attacking faction can use creepers)
    - They will be unable to use Chunk Busters inside their base chunks
    - They will be unable to mine spawners inside their base chunks
    - Players whom do not belong to the attacking / defending faction of the raid will be unable to enter the territory
    - Factions whom do not belong to the attacking / defending faction of the raid will be unable to raid the base.

With this new Raid Timer, we are able to do some awesome stuff, this is only the start of what is possible moving forward. Some more cool features made possible by the raid timer is the following 2 commands: "/f raids" (allows players to view all currently ongoing raids, also displaying information such as how long that raid has been going on for, how much TNT has been shot at the base, etc). It will also give the option for moderators+ to teleport to active raids. "/f log raids" (allows players to view all past raids that have happened so far throughout the season, displaying information such as how long the raid lasted, etc).

    Fortified Chunks
Whilst the name is very fancy, it is a very basic concept (wanting to ensure no one gets confused by this). Our fortified chunks system is just a brand new addition which applies everywhere on the entire server. It is basically a way for us to properly enforce cannon speed rules. Previously there was no system in place to stop a faction from making an illegal cannon and ripping through a base at 'Illegal' speeds. With this change cannons firing above Y=15 will be unable to destroy more than 1 wall every 3 seconds, and cannons below Y=15 will be able to destroy walls at an unlimited speed (as per the rules).

    Rule Changes
    - You are only allowed to have 3 boxes with spawners inside them per base.
    - Factions are not allowed to use an alt faction to start a raid on their own base. Factions are not allowed to purposely keep another faction in a raid to prevent another faction from raiding. Factions caught breaking these rules will receive 3 warnings.
    - The amount of staff per faction will be limited to 1 moderator and 1 senior moderator per faction.
    - A faction is only allowed to have 2 counter cannons inside their buffer per side of the buffer. You will receive 1 verbal warning, and if the offense is repeated, 1 faction warning will be issued.
    - Countering a raid claim from behind the claim is not allowed. The back is defined as the opposite side of the raid claim from the base. This will result in 1 faction warning
    - Fly claim warnings will require 3 verbal warnings before a warning point.
