The time has come once again for our Gens Tycoon server to start a brand new chapter. This season is focussed on adding as much new content as possible to keep the game feeling modern and fresh! This changelog will detail all changes big and small for our upcoming reset which will be dropping this upcoming Friday 20th February 3pm MST.

Upcoming Changes
- Plots have now been added to generator islands, giving players a dedicated blank building area with no limitations
- New island permission 'Break Valuables' has been introduced, allowing players to better protect chunk loaders and generator beacons
- New perk "Bonus Fishcoins" has been added, granting players 15% more Fishcoins when selling fish
- Coinflip limits have been increased, allowing players to wager in higher-value gambles
- Backpacks are now available in the Fishing World shop
- Runes have been added and can be obtained from limited-time crates at spawn
- Fixed a bug where right-clicking the Condense Table while holding a farming hoe opened the wrong interface
- Fixed a bug where Farming Armor was not functioning as intended and failed to grant its farming buff
- A brand new crates plugin has been introduced, featuring the new Crucible Key
- Mob Chambers have been consolidated into a single chunk, making them easier to keep loaded with one chunk loader
- Event Key rewards have been buffed, removing less useful rewards and replacing them with more valuable ones
- Fixed an issue where AFK farming prevention was not working correctly
- 1.8 PvP mechanics have been implemented to provide a more enjoyable PvP experience
- The scoreboard has been revamped to match our updated server-wide design
- The tablist has been redesigned to align with our new interface style
- A new chat game has been added — hover to reveal the word
- All in-game interfaces have been redesigned to take full advantage of our custom resource pack
- The /favourite command has been added, allowing players to add a drop confirmation to their tools and armor
- Skins have been added and can be obtained through limited-time crate keys
- A brand new jungle-themed spawn has been introduced for players to explore and enjoy

Generator Plots:
Generator Islands have always included a few permanent features like farms and NPCs that could not be changed, but this season a major new addition is arriving in the form of an empty plot that acts as your personal blank canvas, giving you full freedom to build and design without limitations, and you can access your generator island plot at any time by speaking to the NPC located on your island.

Backpacks:
Need more storage while farming, grinding, or exploring the resource worlds? Backpacks are now available in the Fishing World shop, giving every player valuable extra inventory space wherever they go and letting you stay in the action longer without constant trips to empty your inventory. And they’re not just practical, backpacks are fully customisable with a range of epic skins, including stylish wing designs that take your in-game fashion to the next level, allowing you to combine efficiency and style wherever your grind takes you.

Crates Revamped:
Like much of the Gens Tycoon server, our crates system has been completely overhauled for the new season! Crates are now split into unique key types, letting you go after the rewards you really want. Sick of perks you already own? On the hunt for that perfect skinned armor set? Now you can target your prize directly—no more unwanted rewards!

Skins Overhauled:
If you’ve been around on Minecraft Central for a while, you’ll know we’ve had a few attempts at implementing skins, none of which quite hit the mark. In the past, they were limited to a handful of basic helmets, offering little more than a cosmetic touch.

This upcoming season, that all changes. Skins have been completely rebuilt from the ground up, and now you can apply them to all your armor and tools. Best of all, skins are now stored directly on the items themselves, giving them real value - you can even trade or share your skinned gear with friends! If you ever want to switch things up, you can easily unskin your items and try a whole new look.

Runes:
Runes are powerful, unique items obtainable exclusively from limited-time crates. They allow players to enhance their gear with special traits and buffs, giving you greater control over how your equipment performs. Runes are fully flexible, they can be applied or removed at any time, so you’re never locked into using one on a single item. If you wish to detach a rune, simply use the /removerune command.

Plushies:
This upcoming season, plushies are coming to Gens Tycoon! These adorable collectibles can be obtained from our limited-time crates and placed around your island to decorate your builds in style. Best of all, plushies are completely free to claim when you open your limited-time keys. What are you waiting for? Start collecting and show them off this season!

New Interfaces:
Creating interfaces in Minecraft has always been a challenge, often relying on clunky workarounds. Thanks to the powerful new tools in the latest Minecraft versions, we’ve completely overhauled all of our GUIs with a sleek, unified design across every plugin. The result is a cleaner, more intuitive interface that’s easier to navigate and gives the entire server a seamless, consistent feel.

Miscellaneous Changes
As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community! Players can expect to see brand new builds alongside a smoother gameplay experience with a handful of our backend plugins being updated with performance improvements.
