We’ve been quiet lately — for a very good reason. This upcoming season brings some of the biggest changes Minecraft Central has ever seen, taking full advantage of modern-day Minecraft and overhauling our decade-old systems to meet the expectations of today’s players. Get ready for a fresh, exciting Survival experience like never before! The new season launches Friday, 15th August at 3 PM MST. Chase the Skies: The biggest change players will face next season is the updated backend to the latest Minecraft version! This update will bring forward all of the newly added Minecraft features (Such as happy ghasts) Minecraft 1.21.6 was released on the 17th June, and in typical Survival fashion, we are striving to keep everything on the latest Minecraft version! Events World: This season, we’ve completely rebuilt our events system from the ground up, uniting everything into one seamless experience. Simply use /warp events to enter the dedicated Events World, where you can explore all upcoming events, check the event leaderboards, and visit the Rewards Machine. Victorious players can even claim a one-of-a-kind Arcade Machine Trophy to showcase their triumph in our server’s events! Spleef Arena: Of course, the classic game of Spleef is getting a fresh new look too! With our revamped events system, players can now vote on different Spleef maps before the match begins, and battles will play out in an exciting tournament format—where only one player will emerge as the Champion Spleefer. So grab your shovels and get ready for a modern, fast-paced Spleef experience like never before! Furniture: We’re taking a huge leap forward—custom furniture is coming to our Survival server! Available to all players, furniture can be purchased directly from the Survival Shop using /shop. With pieces in all shapes and sizes, you can take your builds to the next level and add that perfect finishing touch to make them truly stand out! Backpacks: Need more storage while exploring caves or gathering resources? Backpacks are now available in the Survival Shop, giving every player extra inventory space wherever they go! But they’re not just practical—they’re stylish too. Customize your look with epic backpack skins, including wings that will take your in-game fashion to the next level! Central Pass: Introducing the Central Pass—a brand-new feature coming to our webstore! By unlocking the Central Pass, players can progress through 45 reward tiers, earning epic exclusive cosmetics and rewards along the way, including custom armor sets, stylish wings, custom tool skins and the all-new chat emojis! Emojis: Bring your chat messages to life with our brand-new custom chat emojis! Unlock them through the all-new Central Pass and add that extra spark to your conversations. More emoji packs will be coming in the future, starting with our first release—the adorable Baby Yoda set! Crates Revamped: Like much of the Survival server, our crates system has been completely overhauled for the new season! Crates are now split into unique key types, letting you go after the rewards you really want. Sick of perks you already own? On the hunt for that perfect skinned armor set? Now you can target your prize directly—no more unwanted rewards! Skins Overhauled: If you’ve been around on Minecraft Central for a while, you’ll know we’ve had a few attempts at implementing skins, none of which quite hit the mark. In the past, they were limited to a handful of basic helmets, offering little more than a cosmetic touch. This upcoming season, that all changes. Skins have been completely rebuilt from the ground up, and now you can apply them to all your armor and tools. Best of all, skins are now stored directly on the items themselves, giving them real value - you can even trade or share your skinned gear with friends! If you ever want to switch things up, you can easily unskin your items and try a whole new look. Projection Orbs: Holoskulls have served us well, but it’s time for a serious upgrade! This season in Survival we’re introducing Projection Orbs, a more powerful and user-friendly way to create holograms. With Projection Orbs, you can easily place your own holograms featuring full Minecraft hex color support, up to 5 lines of text, and a vastly improved line editor for smoother customization than ever before! New Interfaces: Creating interfaces in Minecraft has always been a challenge, often relying on clunky workarounds. Thanks to the powerful new tools in the latest Minecraft versions, we’ve completely overhauled all of our GUIs with a sleek, unified design across every plugin. The result is a cleaner, more intuitive interface that’s easier to navigate and gives the entire server a seamless, consistent feel. Miscellaneous Changes As always with new seasons, it is our primary focus to ensure we deliver enough content, quality of life changes and bug fixes to satisfy our community! Players can expect to see brand new builds alongside a smoother gameplay experience with a handful of our backend plugins being updated with performance improvements.
