Look at some of the old minecraft prison servers. its basically all mining.
yes, when I mean that, it wasn't supposed to be a pvp gamemode, it helps the people who are actually mining rather then pvping.
prison isn't based on pvp you know, your missing the main point, prison back in the day didn't have pvp and was just mining, plus they aren't...
it advise you to not be so hard on the server. what the server is doing is improving more gamemodes and they actually do ban cheaters like you...
