If players what to do a give away like giving a legend rank pickaxe to a player they should say a sentence like. "First one to say legend gets a legend rank pickaxe" so please tell me how doing something fun can get you punished?
There are other ways around this such as, first one to my warp or first one to msg me or even first one to pay me. Because there are so many alternative ways you could do this, I think it should still be implemented because this will spam everyones chat and therefore effect people who are not participating.
To simply put it, because it floods chat and encourages spam. This is annoying to fellow players when they’re looking in chat for messages or just trying to not see so many things popping up on the bottom left of their screens. For many reasons really, this offense is common (especially from a Staff Perspective). But because it’s not really a major offense, it was taken down a severity. This mute is fine and there is nothing wrong with a 30 minute mute (first offense). Past actions just reflect on your mute length. - Fox
Then why are you complaining about the punishment? At the end of the day, it’s your fault for not reading the rules. You can still have fun without breaking the rules. Such as telling people to message you instead of saying it in public chat. You can always do a drop party or event by yourself. We (as a community), don’t encourage the use of those messages. Next time, just ask people to message you and you won’t be muted. (You can appeal for a shorter mute length)
If I was a helper or moderator I wouldnt really care about spam if they did it to much just do /ignore (name). So explain to me how at the end of the day its my fault for having fun. I also saw the video you were in and congrats
You would be removed from the team for not doing your job. Not everyone will ignore every user, hence we have mutes the people above already stated ways to still host giveaways and have fun. You don’t need to flood chat, that’s not fun anymore. this is not a hard rule to follow, very easy actually. Just tell players to msg you first or warp or whatever that won’t flood chat.
If I were you, I would wait out the mute before you get into more trouble. If you were muted for "Trying to have fun with players" make sure you are saying something about it within around 30 secs. You could also appeal your muted if you disagree.
