Hackers Are Ruining a Great Server

Very true. This is most prominent on skywars.

 

It’s not a great server tho it was already ruined years ago

 

I imagine they're probably working on the anticheat, but until they fix it, we have to be patient, and I don't think the server is ruined. Many people don’t assume this, but staff aren’t able to touch the anti cheat. The only thing staff can do is get online and ban people but even then only moderators+ can ban. Then only senior moderator+ can perm ban. Another thing is that there IS a rule about teaming but it’s allowed in certain game modes. Teaming is a gameplay offense severity 2. This means if you team in designated mini games then you will be banned if it is reported on the forums. Another reason hackers appear more abundant on this server is because it’s a smaller server compared to some others and there is no longer an anti cheat that bans. The reason it was removed to auto ban was because of the amount out of false bans from lagging or glitches players. Another point is that you posted this about an hour ago, but most of the staff on this server are NA which means they only recently woke up or are still sleeping. This is an issue because majority of the staff members have school and can’t be online at 6am. This the forums report system. If you report players that are on when staff aren’t then a player may be banned from evidence provided. I hope this made you see things more clearly (sorry for potential typos)

That’s where you’re wrong. I see people get banned every time a mod is online. And if you tag staff in the support channel on discord then someone will get online and deal with it. And again as I said with forum reports. If you actually do them then people can be banned when mods do forum reports because they can’t always be in game. I really don’t know what you’re doing that you never see hackers banned but I see it all the time and I suggest you pay more attention. You can’t be staff and dis the staff team and say how little they do without actually noticing anything.

As a Mod myself, I understand your point of view and frustration. However, there are a few factors you may not be thinking about. First off, timezones are different for different people. If you are AU for example, not many other staff will be on around that time as the majority of staff are NA and are asleep or generally unavailable around this time. When we are on, we ban any hackers we see. However, we can't be in every game simultaneously. While it's true an anti cheat would fix that, we are currently having difficulties with it. If you ever see a hacker, the best thing to do is to either report them on the forums or ping staff on the MCC Community discord. We've banned many hackers that way. I dont know which Mods you are talking about, but all staff do what we can when there is a problem. I know you may feel Mods dont do anything, but we truly do. Although most of what I said has been already posted here, I wanted to make a point to show that we do care. Not just the players, but fellow staff too.

Thanks @TrippedUp, I know the members of the staff team do all they can to help. I have seen a few in game and just messaged them and they were really great about it. And yeah, time zones can be difficult, but hey, they'll figure something out eventually. Until then, let's try to keep a good attitude about it because really, most of the hackers on the server really aren't even that good at using their hacks, and you can find ways to counter their hacks. Remember, also, that hackers aren't invincible, they just have an advantage. Anyway, thanks!

 

If you read my post u can see what I had said about the anti cheat. They removed the banning feature because it was false banning too many people. Players in 1.14 experience a lot of lag and there’s other glitches in the game as well such as being stuck in blocks after using a pearl. The amount of false bans is not worth it if there are other ways to go about it. I also believe you were being rude to tripped considering theres nothing he can do about the anti cheat but ban hackers whenever he is able.

 

No one knows everything, but I do know from experience that it is way easier to bridge now that the blocks don't disappear like they used to.

Ok. Well I don't know anything I guess . Maybe you should apply for staff since you seem to know quite a bit about the server and its anticheat. I'll leave this stuff to you big boys then lol.

 

@Tamagoyaki, I somewhat agree with whats ur saying, the reason why u keep on being redirected if u wanna know is that u need to meet the requirements of 45 days of having an account on the forums and having it doing /link to link it to ur Minecraft account. I agree that hackers are usual on the skywars and survival games sub servers but they only way to fix that is to have a staff spectate every single game or play in every single game or get an anti-cheat and to have a staff spectate every single game is near impossible nor improbable to happen and it is also very hard to create/find a good working anti-cheat for this server.
