Before this summer I had not played on this server much at all but I quickly found joy in playing CTF and survival games and I started playing quite regularly. Over summer I played nearly everyday (Mostly CTF) and towards the end of summer it was basically unplayable. Although I was able to successfully able to record and report one speed hacker, the amount of people who think it's funny to spend hours of their time dedicated to speed/fly/etc hacking through the map to win are growing. I Just now disconnected from the server because I just couldn't play due to a player cheating by flying through the map and capturing the flag in seconds. I notice various players using cheats like reach and hacks to make their aim better with their bows constantly. I hate it and mods never seem to appear when needed. I've heard other players claim that it is happening in other various mini games as well aside from CTF. How do y'all feel about this? Because it's frustrating since a once fun server is basically unplayable. I mean is there a lack of moderators for the server and why does the anti-cheat seem to be failing as of recent?
I know its frustrating but the staff do the best they can. They are more busy working on the sub servers which get more players than games like CTF. I have seen staff play CTF befor and they will help monitor but the best thing is just to report as many as you can so they get caught and eliminated. I know the hackers are frustrating but staff do the best they can and an anti cheat is harder to get than you might think.
The problem is nothing to do with staff or the anti-cheat. Staff are active, we have 50 staff. Anti-cheat works for most hacks. The problem is that with Minecraft becoming more popular recently, a lot of players have been flooding back to servers. A lot of these players are buying the new hack clients which have very sophisticated bypasses which we are unable to currently deal with. Understand that its not just MCC being targeted. All servers are flooded with hackers; we atleast have some sort of anti cheat and active staff. Most other servers have no anti cheat and no staff. Even the biggest MC server is flooded constantly with hackers who bypass their anti cheat. We do what we can, and manage where we can.
Hey There! I feel you, it is frustrating but like KierenBoal said, Minecraft has been becoming more popular recently, it's not only MCC, a lot of other servers are also getting flooded with hackers.
Hello, I would like to also add that, apart from staff being as active as they have time for since they can’t affect the anticheat, there is also the report system we have that is animated on many other servers in terms or responses. Our staff are hard working and I believe they deserve credit. Another this is the amount of hackers there are now is plenty less than there was this summer. During July or August I could get 50 hacker reports in a day. I also do strongly believe it’s based on your time zone. When I get home at 4pm ct there aren’t really many hackers but at 5am ct I hear a lot of hackers and spambots I hope this gives you some perspective on the issue and sorry in advance for any typos ~Micro

Appeal it if it’s false and you have proof that you indeed weren’t hacking or ask them to review their evidence and perhaps screenshare u
What Kieren said it true and very well worded. We really do try our best to keep the server as clean as we can but it gets increasingly harder as players find ways to bypass their bans, ipbans, as well as the anticheat. Trust me staff are just as frustrated by hackers as players are. We too play minigames and like to spend time on the server casually just like everyone else and share the same frustration that the community has over hackers. It's difficult to combat since Minecraft has become increasingly popular again, and with newer clients being released we have to adjust to that. The staff team is taking this issue seriously and it isn't an instant fix, but we try our best to make things as enjoyable for the community as we can.
proof that he wasn't hacking could be a complete screen recording to show there's no hacks in the pc and to also show the recycling bin hadn't been updated since the ban stuff like that. Getting proof you weren't hacking isn't hard just show that you don't have hacks :/
Hey! I mean obviously nobody enjoys hackers ruining there game lol. Server moderation and Anti Cheats are things that can help as well as reporting hackers or notifying staff. (Which don’t get me wrong MCC is doing pretty well) With these put in place it should fix MCC a fair bit with the hackers. Of course they are always gonna come back on Alts and proxy’s but there ain’t much to do about it so meh. Have a Nice Day All The Best ___Sean___ MCC Community Member
I just like everyone else hate it. Hackers don't make it fun for the people really trying to play but I get a lot of satisfaction when I record them, upload the footage, report them and see the little green accepted report tab. I think this is the only thing we can do until the anti-cheat is fixed which I know they're working on.
I could say it's very annoying for the people who are actually trying to play a fair, fun match. I hope soon McCentral will have a good anti cheat that actually auto-bans. :)
we all dislike cheaters but if i had to be honest they dont win most of the time and most of them arent good and they usually get kicked so if you see one just run and after the game report.
The Problem with auto banning mate is that sometimes the software goes berserk and bans random people for no reason, or sometimes its just a glitch that makes it look like your hacking, I got permanently banned on BlockMania because of an "anti knockback" Glitch, which was annoying, I went on their discord and appealed, and now im back on and have not caused any problems since. - Gabe :D
